Guiding Light

Guiding light,
Might you guide me right?
Though it might sound trite,
Through the darkness of night,
You shine brighter than any star,
No matter how far.

Your position does not waver,
Wrong is wrong,
And, that's over,
Now it won't be long,
Until you set things right,
Since you shine so bright,
I pray you let me see,
How to move about properly.

I've hit my head too many times,
Stumbling around in the dark,
I've crossed way too many lines,
On some sort-of whim.. or lark,
I'm lucky not to have fallen over the edge,
Sooo... for keeping me safe,
I pledge:
I'll keep the faith!
