Written at the Ninety Seventh Regiment Monument of Pennsylvania at Marshall Square Park, West Chester, PA<\/p>\n

The 97th PA Regiment was from West Chester, Pennsylvania and fought in the Civil War. They took part in the “Fatal Charge” made against the advance line of the enemy, in front of Gen. Butler, at Foster Plantation, near Bermuda Landing, Va., on the 20th of May, 1864.<\/p>\n
