LYRICS
If you believe that everything will turn out alright
It might
When you are sincere… above fear… a natural delight
Everything will turn out alright

With the wings of an angel, you’ll take flight
By believing with all your might

ABOUT THIS SONG

Written and recorded on August 22, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It is based on studies that show positive thinking leads to a positive outcome:

Positive thinking: Reduce stress by eliminating negative self-talk
Positive thinking helps with stress management and can even improve your health.
By Mayo Clinic staff

Is your glass half-empty or half-full? How you answer this age-old question about positive thinking may reflect your outlook on life, your attitude toward yourself, and whether you’re optimistic or pessimistic — and it may even affect your health.

Indeed, some studies show that personality traits like optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your health and well-being. The positive thinking that typically comes with optimism is a key part of effective stress management. And effective stress management is associated with many health benefits. If you tend to be pessimistic, don’t despair — you can learn positive thinking skills.

A Tree Suffering From Ozone Poisoning

LYRICS
If you can see the sky
Ask: why?

Turn from green to brown
Fall down
Like a cannonball sailed through
Deny it… will you?

Simple reasoning
Points to ozone poisoning

When the conditions are right with sunlight
Volatile ozone ignites
Blasting right through a tree
Blasting right through you and me

Now it’s been sung
Imagine your lung
Without a tree
Where will our oxygen be?

LYRICS
How can we achieve flight
if we hold on too tight
The trick is getting to know
When to let go

When there’s not a human to be found
The world will still be spinning round
When there’s not a sole left in sight
Nature’s there to nurture curve

Don’t be made a fool. Make a sound.
Let those fools all be hellbound
There’s still you and me to set things right
Nature’s there to nurture. We’re sure.

LYRICS
They set out for 3 hours
Sort-of short for seaborne tours
They set out for 3 hours
Ended up with a lifetime of horrors
Such is the fate (of Gilligan)
Such is the fate (of Mary Ann)

If I’m stranded on an island with you
Don’t know what I’d do
I’d leave that part up to you
Maybe distill a ‘lil gin
Then
Let the dancing begin
All the while playing our hearts away
Making beautiful music all night and day

Youth be gold. We’d never grow old.
Just for fun
Maybe distill a ‘lil rum
Maintaining a dance continuum

You’re as old as you feel
And, I am
Unconceal the real deal
Live life while you can

Naked. Swinging from trees.
Begging God we please

We’ve got to… got to get along
In numbers is our strength

Give flight to the might of right
And, it won’t be long
Let’s get strong

ABOUT THIS SONG

Daniel — Guitar, Vocals

The song has to do with my ancestors, King Duncan of Scotland and the Armstrongs. One side of my family is related to King Duncan. He was murdered. The other side of my family cut down trees making it look like the forest was storming the castle in revenge of the murder (as described in Shakespeare’s Macbeth: Act V. Scene III.) The clan was named Armstrong and given a coat-of-arms symbolizing the event.

LYRICS
Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking the all in
The best that you can

Taking the all in
No need of a place to begin
More like a sponge… near infinite points on the fringe

Taking the all in
No need of a place to end
More like a circle or cycle
Your future’s right ’round the bend

Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking you all in
That best that we can

Outrageous. Gorgeous. But, not dangerous.

No need to be afraid. You can approach.
Reach out. No need to fear you’ll encroach.

Put your ear to the atmosphere
And, hear what you will see
Put your eye to your mind
Hear what is meant by one-of-a-kind

Outrageous. Gorgeous.

Where would we be without the hives and the trees?
Where would we be without the birds and the bees?
What would you do without the innocence of children?
What would you do without the memory of been?

Do you think you’d miss a cool rain’s kiss?
Would you be remiss… speechless?

ABOUT THE SONG
Capo 5
A (less C#, add A, add F#)
A / D

Written and recorded on July 24, 2012 at Marsh Creek State Park, Chester County, Pennsylvania. For quite sometime, I have been conducting a study on deforestation of the Earth. While writing the song, I noticed the sun shining through the leaves of the tree… like is was winter time; however, it is summer. Then, a couple of small children walked up to me and said, “Thank you guitar man.” What would the world be like without trees? What would the world be like without the innocence of children?

’cause there is something about you
that makes me want to sing
’cause there is something about you
that makes me want to dance

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The uplift of your riff. The glimmer of your I.

’cause there is something about you
that makes me everything
’cause there is something about you
that makes me risk a chance

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The gift of your lift. The answer to my why.
