This devastating event has intensified discussions about the influence of climate change, particularly the warming of the Gulf of Mexico, on the frequency and severity of such tornado outbreaks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"246\">When a significant low-pressure area combines a warm front and a cold front, it typically forms a <strong data-start=\"98\" data-end=\"122\">mid-latitude cyclone<\/strong>, also known as an <strong data-start=\"141\" data-end=\"166\">extratropical cyclone<\/strong>.
