ABOUT THE SONG: Brian Wilson, Beach Boys Co-Founder and Singer, Dies at 82
\nThe Beach Boys were one of the most listened-to bands of my childhood. While the Beatles may have been more famous and heard more often on the radio, I remember singing along to more Beach Boys songs\u2014they were the soundtrack to so many moments.<\/p>\n

Brian Wilson and Sly Stone were both pioneers in what I would soon come to deeply admire: multi-instrumentalists, producers, engineers, singer-songwriters, and fearless creators of original sound. They didn\u2019t just make music\u2014they reshaped it. I would spend the rest of my life doing the same thing.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s deeply sad to see both of these musical giants pass in the same week. Their influence runs through generations, and their sounds will echo on.<\/p>\n
