You’re passing me by on the street
But, will we ever really meet?
The younger they are, the better they greet
Hope ya don’t get old before ya get beat
Ahh….
You’re watching me bearing a grin
But, will we ever entwine
The purer they are the more their givin’
I’m so glad the world’s (ours and) not (just) mine

This song was inspired by a guy walking by that said to me, “What’s up?” But, did he really want to know “what is up” with this world? Did he really want to know how to help make the world a better place? Did he really want to engage in the song I was writing? Then, I started thinking about how many people that passed me by really wanted to hear. It dawned on me that the younger they are the more they “get it”. The kids stop and talk to me, dance, laugh and jump about. Moral of the story — try not to grow up.
LYRICS
Can’t make a decision about what to do
Can’t tell what is false and what is true
They say indecision can kill you
You better draw before your time comes due
No. You can’t make up the stuff they do
No mind victimizing me or you
You wouldn’t believe the crap they do
Exploit Mother’s resource until it’s through
Dumbfounded by white noise of the talking heads
Totally oblivious to the plight of the kids
Compounded by the fact so many are dead
With all the spoils going to the highest bids
Made in the USA (West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.)
This song is about child mortality. UNICEF says: “About 29,000 children under the age of five – 21 each minute – die every day, mainly from preventable causes.”
LYRICS
How can someone just turn and walk away?
It’s become the way of our day
Haven’t you anything more to say?
How can anyone just turn and walk away?
Chorus
May the peace roll down every mountain
Through the valley
To the sea
May the peace spout out like a fountain
Raining down on you and me
Reigning down on you and me
How can someone not even care?
They don’t have a dime or the time to spare
Making a statement about how life’s not fair
How can anyone claim they’re unaware?
Chorus

LYRICS
In a binary world
You’re made up of ones and zeros
You’re either with villains
Or, heroes
A black and white world
Of laughter and of tears
You’ll either be chillin’
Or, full of your fears
Might as well live in a fanciful fantasy
I’m livin’ my life
For todays and tomorrows
No sense livin’ in a redundant factory
I’m lovin’ my life
Of todays and tomorrows
LYRICS
I know that we’re neighbors
I know that we’re friends
I know where you are
I know where you’ve been
I know your means
And, I know your ends
I know your whores
And, I know your kin
I know things about you
That I really can’t explain
But, for the life of me
I can’t remember your name
