LYRICS
Why not
Twist n’ tie into a knot?

… ’cause then your have to wrangle with the untangle?

Why don’t I twist and tie “I” into a knot…
Is there an angle to… the wrangle of a tangle?

An angle angel
Why knot
The shape of things to come
Coming out from

LYRICS
Keep on moving
Keep improving
You know if you go too slow
You’ll likely seize and cease to go

Waiting for a guy “if he only had a brain”
Might be considered lame or insane
Ask a Tin Woodman… he’ll understand

Strike up the band (striking up the band)

If when has become then
Than we’re in the land of tinmen

Oooooil
Uncoil with oil
Loosen up and seize the day
Instead of the other way
Remain lost in the forest
Restrained in a sudden reign
Now we must bust free of the rust
Lust for a heart
As Dorothy can see
A new knew start

LYRICS
You know that I’m… gonna cross the chasm great and wide
You know the time… ford the ocean at low tide

Gotta climb that mountain to get to the other side
Oh, Mama… I’m crossing… I ride

You know that I’m… gonna cross this town in stride
You know the time… is well before you’ve died
Gotta bridge that gap. Certain. Won’t be denied.
Oh, Mama… I’m crossing… I ride

Forever prone to be at home

To Get to the Other Side
To Get to the Other Side

By any chance
Are there ants in your pants
The way you move n’ shake
I hadda do a double take

Cha cha cha and la la la

From what I see
You’ve got the heebie jeebie
The way you shake n’ jerk
Could be a seditious quirk

Well, where’s freewill
I just can’t sit still
Overcome by the beat
Leap from my seat onto my feet

Pant chant

LYRICS
Chase your dreams
They will come
So it seems
And then some

There is a spider lady
That weaves her web
Catches dreams that are shady
Waiting for the dark to ebb

“Once the sun rises
All bad dreams just disappear”
Good thoughts all shapes and sizes
Will become ever clearer

(whispered “She’s Asibikaashi”

ABOUT THE SONG

Dreamcatchers originated with the Ojibwe people. The Ojibwe people have an ancient legend about the origin of the dreamcatcher. Storytellers speak of the Spider Woman, known as Asibikaashi; she took care of the children and the people on the land. Eventually, the Ojibwe Nation spread to the corners of North America and it became difficult for Asibikaashi to reach all the children. So the mothers and grandmothers would weave magical webs for the children, using willow hoops and sinew, or cordage made from plants. The dreamcatchers would filter out all bad dreams and only allow good thoughts to enter our mind. Once the sun rises, all bad dreams just disappear.

LYRICS
Living in a bubble
Afraid of our rubble

To be Tod Lubitch must be a real …. switch
Are we able to deal
Living our lives in an incubator
Human impersonator
Step out of the bubble
Own our rubble

“… he steps outside his house, unprotected, and rides off on her horse.”
(of course… into the sunset… you bet!)

unprotected, effected, projected, affected, connected
Doing the unexpected
Step out of the bubble
Own our rubble
Gonna stay a mess unless we redress

LYRICS
Is the world still turning
Is the sun still burning
Is it time to get on with it
Time to move on a bit?
… world still turning
… sun still burning

Unless we tame this trouble
The trouble is likely to double
Unless the human gets humble
Civilization’s likely to crumble

Our error on terror… terrible
The terror of our error incredible
Instead of our babble and mumble
Recognition of our stumble

Another killing spree
Sound off, 1, 2… Sound off, 3, 4… Sound off, 1, 2, 3, 4
Time to kill some more

Onward Jewish, onward Muslim, onward Christian soldiers
Marching, marching, marching as to war

“Ain’t no use in going home; Jody’s got your girl and gone. Ain’t no use in feeling blue; Jody’s got your sister, too. Ain’t no use in lookin’ back; Jody’s got your Cadillac…”

Add additional cadence calls as is appropriate for your audience. Call and response should reflect a similar satirical look at “hopelessness”, “suicide soldier” and “kamikaze” attitudes.

ABOUT THE SONG
A A7/Aadd9
E G A C

Inspired by 1) today’s War of the Religions of the Book (Judaism, Islamism, Christianity)
2) “Onward, Christian Soldiers”, a 19th-century English hymn. Onward, Christian Soldiers was written as a processional hymn for children walking from Horbury Bridge to Horbury St Peter’s Church near Wakefield, Yorkshire, at Whitsuntide in 1865. It was originally entitled, “Hymn for Procession with Cross and Banners.”
3) Military cadence — a traditional call-and-response work song sung by military personnel while running or marching. In the United States, these cadences are sometimes called jody calls or jodies, after Jody, a recurring character who figures in some traditional cadences.

No matter how ya hoof it you can’t loose
Dancing and singing the boogie woogie blues

How can you turn the page living in the digital age
Look out find music as your sage
True is what true is dancing the boogie woogie blues
You can’t loose with the boogie woogie blues

When Eden’s fruit falls from the tree
It doesn’t blemish… it doesn’t bruise
Oh, can’t you seeeeeee…

LYRICS
Always living like it’s my last day
You know in some way
We’re all going to leave this rat race in dismay

Not slowly in pain I pray
Or too soon cutting in on my play
Any way…

Never know if it’s your last day
No need to wonder
We all end up six feet under

Wanna be a dread ’till dead
Push comes to shove I’d rather love
Keep the Reaper at bay

Gonna live to the fullest each and every day
What did Neil say?
Heard Old Neil talk about ‘er… thought I heard Neil say…
Better to burn out than fade away?
I hope Neil Young does remember… mankind needed him ’round anyway
