bookmark_borderNot My Problem

LYRICS
Will you say “It wasn’t me.” ?
Will you take responsibility
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

Time to own-up to what we do
I know my fault… how about you?
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

“The End” is certain. This is true.
But why expire
Before our time is due
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

Have you no faith in your fellow man
For crying-out-loud…
… why not do what we can
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

{E jam: start at 92 BPM increase then decrease tempo to naught}

If you ever let your ponder wonder
More than likely you’ll see clearly
You create your own destiny
Have you “know” curiosity
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

ABOUT THE SONG
A song inspired by “human deniers”. That is to say, “those humans that are not taking responsibility for their own actions and the harm being caused to their own habitat.” When their habitat is no longer habitable, will they keep on denying?

Hear My Rocking (Music Video).mp4

LYRICS
I keep on rocking
Can’t see you frolicking
I keep on talking
Can’t hear you listening
I keep on knocking
But you’re not answering
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

2) If a tree falls in the forest
And you’re the closest
Do you turn a deaf ear
To be clear: do you hear?
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

3) If Little Bo Peep lost her sheep
Would you bother to wake from sleep
River runs deep…. is faith the leap
Pray to God my soul to keep
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

ABOUT THE SONG
The song was inspired by the dancing kids (one dressed like Little Bo Peep) that were listening to me write this song… as their parents appeared to be in their own little worlds. A five-year-old girl even made a point of showing me how her doll dances, but her parents couldn’t seem to hear the music. Moral of the story: “Don’t grow old. Listen to the music. Dance and jump about!” Written between the corners of Market, High, Gay and Church Streets in Chester County, West Chester, PA — Gay Church.

bookmark_borderCoefficient Of Friction II

LYRICS
Humpty Dumpty’s egg
Is on its last leg
In free fall
Off the wall
Please don’t forget
A bombardier’s regret
When bombs fall
There’s no recall
Their shadows foreshadowing
Where things are going

A race in motion
Commotion
Will stay in motion
Run its natural course
(Of course)
A race in motion
In need of notion
In need of an outside force

The coefficient of friction
Is too inefficient
Our vice — slippery ice
In free fall…
… falling down
With nothing
To slow us down
… no, nothing to slow us down

LYRICS
Once in a while
Something comes in my own style
Out of thin air
Instant aware
With a flare of its own
Giving the dog a bone
Everywhere
I’m finding the good time
Jaw dropping stare
… keeping the good time
Awe to dare
… keeping the good time

2) Since it’s in style
Play with it a while
Since I’m aware
Going to share a while
(chorus)

3) Don’t turn that dial!
Listen for a while
Over the air
Instant aware

bookmark_borderWhy Wait?

LYRICS
Are you still waiting
For the sun to shine
Out from under your black cloud
The way you’ll find
It starts with the first step
Motivation leapt
It won’t take too much time
’till you’re feeling fine
Anticipation
When to make the move
Don’t want to feel so proud
Standing above the love

It’s never too late
To give-up the wait
Whenever you’re ready
Move forward
Hold steady

bookmark_borderSearching For Shadows

LYRICS
Searching for a shadow
In the searing sun
(Beat the heat)
Breeze through trees
My run is done
(From the sun)
Beat the heat
From the sun
How far to go?
I do not know
With “to and fro”
Era of error

Record breaking
God forsaking
Watching brain rot
From the hot, hot, hot
Beat the heat
From the sun
How far to go?
I do not know
With “to and fro”
Era of error

Nice try big sky
Going to get by
Found underground
Subterranean bound
Beat the heat
From the sun
How far to go?
Now in the know
With “to and fro”
Era of error

bookmark_borderBlue Sky

LYRICS
The blue sky stretches far and wide
Not a single cloud for the sun to hide
The atmosphere is crisp and clear
No better time to hold life dear

The air I breathe… I find hard to leave
Believe me… it’s fresh from the tree
Take a big deep breath
It’ll save you from your death
… just breathe

I won’t forget to grace this place
With a smile on my face
It sure helps them understand
Offering a helping hand
… life’s grand

Days are numbered… won’t waste them slumbered
Time to wake and shake
Cause the Earth to quake
Make without all take
… for GOODness sake

LYRICS
If you think we could
Do you think we would
Define the “good”
If you think we should
The shine in the moon’s shine
We’ll find
It’ll work out fine
(It works out fine)

Into the fold
Rolled the bold
Strayed from told
Would and could and should
The shine in the moon’s shine
We’ll find
It’ll work out fine
(It works out fine)

LYRICS
1, 2… wishes… 3
Do believe they’re due to me
Fame, fortune and gluttony
Wish for more wishes? Certainly
(With certainty)

The Genie’s out of the bottle
Lost control of the throttle
Can’t begin to get her back in
Might just lose this fight
Over right
Outright

1, 2, 3 silly me
I forgot immortality
Living through eternity
Money, sunny, celebrity

3, 2, 1 I’ve had my run
The real feel of being done
Lack of trying is not much fun
End my run! I’m done

LYRICS
Some woodpecker might come
And crack your window
Pain
On the world
Reign
On the world
Knocking on heaven’s gate
The weight
Knocking on heaven’s gate
The wait
Well worth the name
Noun or verb
The word
Being
Being a being

Come on what the heck?
Woodpecker’s peck
No more knocking at the door
Hit the ceiling
Through the floor
Not unlocking despite your knocking
Won’t begin to let you in!

LYRICS
Here I thought I was ready for bed
But, those thoughts…
Keep racing through my head
Is it true
All you do
Comes back to you
Through and through
Comes back to you
In the morning
In the evening
At the sunrise
As you will dies

Here these thoughts…
Keep racing through my head
I better justify
Before I’m dead

Why’s and why not’s
Keep racing through my head
Here I thought
I was ready for bed

bookmark_borderThe Black Strat

LYRICS
We see the leaf leaves the tree
I mean extreme weather spills blood
About the drought…
Then…
Another flood
And, yet, so far…
You don’t find it bizarre?

It’s hard to avoid Mr. Floyd
Sold his guitar…
For charity…
For clarity
Heartfelt
Meant for the environment
And, yet, so far…
You don’t find it bizarre?

The dog sled running out of ice bed
Fan the flames of the wildfire
Dow we have a higher desire?
And, yet, so far…
You don’t find it bizarre?

Not less surprising
The sea level’s rising
You know “tornado”
… hurricane’s insane
With pollution so thick
It’s making you sick
Enter your head: “We’re almost dead!”
And, yet, so far…
You don’t find it bizarre?

ABOUT THE SONG
“The Black Strat” is the name of David Gilmour’s black Fender Stratocaster guitar that was used to record The Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. David auctioned off 120 guitars and gave the proceeds to the climate change charity ClientEarth. The Black Strat sold for a record $3.975,000 making it the world’s most expensive guitar. David’s auction raised over $21.5 million dollars.

LYRICS
Above the toss and tumble
Above the crowds rumble
Somewhere high
Other than sky
There’s a spot
When you connect the dots
Where you become one

What will be
What we’ll be
The hue shines through
The light shines bright
Atmosphere’s right
For dreams to come true

LYRICS
As a matter of fact
Trying to land intact
Not flat on my back
Nor hear a bone crack
… just trying to land intact
Taking up the slack
Why not get it taught
Wrought with fought
Take it back
… just trying to land intact
When I’m rocked, I roll
Torment has no goal
Thrill is sought
Not of naught
… just trying to land intact
Do you know what’s meant
“Wear a helmet”?
Fear the hack
Head gets whacked
… just trying to land intact

LYRICS
Why not look on the brightside
If it wasn’t for the darkside
Then, there would be no brightside
The dichotomy
Along for the ride
Straying from the darkside
Straying on the brightside
Sl… iiiiiiiiiii… de
Slide to the shine
Sure feels fine

Why not look on the brightside
If it wasn’t for the darkside
Then, there would be no brightside
The anatomy
Dissecting the hide
(chorus)

Why not look on the brightside
If it wasn’t for the darkside
Then, there would be no brightside
The astronomy
Found on the flip-side
(chorus)

Why not look on the brightside
If it wasn’t for the darkside
Then, there would be no brightside
The anomaly
Of the celestial tide
