bookmark_borderMe And My Reality

LYRICS
What is this reality
All about me
Is it all about me
What is this reality all about me
Is it all about me

As we march toward eternity
Is this my reality
As we march toward the eternal infinity
Will we get off our seat and on our feet
And come some more clearly
That we are we
It’s hard to argue that
As a matter of fact
We are we
As a matter of fact
That’s where we’re at
It’s beyond me
And my mortality
’cause I can see
More clearly
That I’m going to die
Sooner or later I’ll be “later gator”

LYRICS
Do you think it’s real
Do you think they feel
Do you think they feel anything at all

Do you think they know
Do you think they know it’s real
Do you think they know how to feel

Do you think it’s real
Do you think they know how to feel
Do you think they lost the feel of real
What has come has gone
No more dawn
The final sunset
Then, the light won’t shine
The dark may be our regret
Do you bet?
Ya, I bet
Our final regret

Can you recall at all
How it feels to be real
Do you have any recollection
Of that convection
How it feels to be real
Don’t have to grovel or kneel
To know how to feel real

bookmark_borderIko Iko

“Iko Iko” (/ˈaɪkoÊŠ ˈaɪkoÊŠ/) is a much-covered New Orleans song that tells of a parade collision between two “tribes” of Mardi Gras Indians and the traditional confrontation. The song, under the original title “Jock-A-Mo”, was written and released as a single in 1953 by Sugar Boy and his Cane Cutters.

In the 60’s, the Dixie Cups’s recorded a version that became a hit. New Orleans singer and pianist Dr. John covered “Iko Iko” in 1972 for his fifth studio album Dr. John’s Gumbo. It has also been covered by the Grateful Dead who made “Iko Iko” a staple in their live shows from 1977 onward.

bookmark_borderScent Of Trouble

LYRICS
I don’t know what’s gonna happen
But it sure doesn’t smell good
I know it don’t smell good
It ain’t smelling to fine
I’m usually not one to wine
But I do think it’s quite a stink
I don’t know if it’s gonna grow
’cause if that smell grows on me
It’s going to grow ON me

PART 2
Ya’ll smell something?

I don’t know what’s gonna happen
But it doesn’t smell good
It ain’t smellin’ good
In fact, I think
It’s putting out a stink
If I could get my money back
I’d be running for the door
’cause it’s putting off a mighty stink I think

It smells to high heaven
Oh please be forgiven

LYRICS
You’ve got to get out
You’ve got to get out
You’ve got to get out of there

Maybe you can get up and fly
Maybe get up and kiss the sky
Crazy if we think it’s do or die
Come on! Come on! Maybe give it a try?

You’ve got to get out
You’ve got to get out
You’ve got to get out of there

No if and or but
You’ve got to get out
You’ve got to get out that’s clear

bookmark_borderTaste

LYRICS
Now I remember…
You always leave a bad taste
Such a waste

Well, look at this
They said ignorance is bliss
‘suppose that’s your picture in the dictionary?
(So fancy and quite contrary)
Thank you for spelling it out… now, it is plain to see
What a waste
Bad taste

If you think you are cute
Ya sure ain’t astute
A fool should stay mute
When unable to refute

Ignorance is bliss?
Sure don’t miss… your kind — unkind with a narrow mind

Cry, baby, cry?
No, now I remember why I said goodbye
Because of all this, “Ignorance is bliss”
If such is this, the only bliss is…
Leaving your arrogance-in-ignorance

Haste for a good taste
Cleanse the palate
And, forget

bookmark_borderA Drift

LYRICS
Ya know…
Seems the wind and the snow
Got into a rift
If ya catch my drift

Fast, furious, swift
If you catch my drift

Blowin’ higher
Goin’ higher
Gettin’ dire
Startin’ to irk my ire
If ya catch my dirft

Seems the snow, ya know
Got into it… a rift… a drift
Adrift in a drift

I see society adrift
In their rift
They say they pray for a shift
Adrift in the rift
Of the drift

LYRICS
I hate to have to rescind
But I’m getting beat up by the wind
It’s blowin’ me over
Blowin ‘ me over agin’

In need of a friend
To hold me down in the this wind

In fact, it’s high impact
Blowin’ down the door… blowin’ in
Inspect if I’m intact
Blowin’ in some more… blowin in

I keep getting back up
It keeps knocking me down
I keep getting back up
Jack falls down and breaks his crown

bookmark_borderWizard Of The Blizzard

LYRICS
Looks like we’re staring straight into the storm
Better raise the alarm

Can you take me to the wizard
That conjured up this blizzard
… take away his royal robe
… shaking up my snow-globe

Looks like we’re staring straight into the storm
Better raise the alarm
So, I’d love to quiz the wizard
That conjured up this blizzard
See what he was thinking… do a mind probe
Perhaps lobotomize his frontal lobe
… shaking up our snow-globe
For crying-out-loud
It’s a total white-out out

bookmark_borderIt’s Getting Deep

LYRICS
It’s getting deep, deep, deep
Too deep to sweep, sweep, sweep
And if it’s gonna keep, keep, keep…
Getting deep, deep, deep…
We’ll have to shovel
Wasn’t looking for trouble
It sounds like trouble
Hate to burst your bubble

It ain’t that novel
Now I gotta shovel
It’s getting deep, deep, deep
Too deep to sweep, sweep, sweep
And if it’s gonna keep, keep, keep…
Getting deep, deep, deep…
We’ll have to shovel
Don’t want to grovel from the curse of the devil

It’s getting deep, deep, deep
Too deep to sweep, sweep, sweep
And if it’s gonna keep, keep, keep…
Getting deep, deep, deep…
We’ll have to shovel
Scrapping the knuckle
Bustin’ a muscle
Taking a pummel in this struggle
Ain’t no subtle shovel
It’s getting deep, deep, deep
And if it’s gonna keep, keep, keep
Getting deep, deep, deep….
