bookmark_borderA Better Mouse Trap

LYRICS
There’s a panic in the house
The lady saw a mouse
Now, everyone’s beating a path to her door
With a better mouse trap then ever before
So, the mouse can’t get in
Every crack and cranny they’re fillin’
When you hear the lady shout,
“What are you doing?

What was I thinking
Givin’ up my liberty without blinking
Must have been sleeping
A thief-in-the-night stealing dreaming

There’s a panic in this land
Politicians don’t understand
That people fearing terror get irate
Don’t let ’em turn it into a police state

Chorus

You have a mouth that’s a razor
Your words cut to the very core
You a real trail blazer
Never cease to amaze Her

Look, God! No hands
Or, maybe it’s that no one understands?

You have a tongue that’s a laser
Your words seeing what’s in store
You have the touch of a taser
Your love shocks the sinister

Chorus

You have the touch of a Taser
Your ideas shock the sinister
They don’t know what’s going on… for sure

Just look around you
There’s people chasing money

As if it were simple as honey
Dripping with dew
It might be real funny
If they only knew

Come to think of it… who need suggest
Deep down inside you know what’s really best

LYRICS
Though the poles aren’t the goal
We still don’t want to meet in the middle
Through our goals we’ll fulfill
The cat and the fiddle… hey diddle diddle

Have you ever been told
You’re a little too bold
That “your initiative
Of give, give, give
Just won’t take
In this world of ours”
If so shake
Their hatred horrors

Chorus

Please don’t compromise
The promise’s rise
None too soon
The cow jumps over the moon

LYRICS
Come with me on a trip to 333
A time and place where 2/3 is the other half
Join with me as virtual turns into reality
Avoid the hex of 666

Be born again with a new twist
Rising above with unclenched fist
Be born again with a new twist
Reverse the order of the first-last list

Chorus

New age begin… known as Just
Unveil paradise betwixt the mist
New age begin… known as Just
Like the stars shine and the dead from the dust

Chorus

Be born again with a new twist
Rising above with unclenched fist
Be born again with a new twist
Reverse the order of the first-last list

The twist of the age with no age
Hmm… will there be need for a sage
The twist of the age with no age
Will the shaman get the hook from the stage

ABOUT THE SONG
Chords — C A
A G A G A D A
C A

1-track live stereo recordings made in the USA (West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.)

The song is about 666 and the mark of the beast as it relates to repeating decimals.  That is to say 2/3 written as a decimal is .666. Those that are part of the two-thirds will not be born again… thus, the mark of the beast. Those that are part of the .333 may be “the people of God — shall shine as brightly as the sun’s brilliance, and those who turn many to righteousness will glitter like stars forever.” (Daniel 12: 3-4)

However, the immortality of “forever” may eventually be seen as a curse for insisting on divine intervention (due to our destruction of the planet.) Whenever humans insist on divine intervention, there are consequences. For instance, when Eve ate the apple — “condemning the man to sustain life through hard labor and the woman to create new life through painful childbirth.”

What if the consequence the .333  pay for the actions of the .666 is immortality — never to be born again? What good will a sage or shaman be then?

Certainly more here than me and I

Setting our sights for the sky
Going to go high, high, high

Scratch the surface and see what you get
No one is useless… you can place that bet

Living like you’re never going to die
Go ahead try, try, try

Live it like you’re never going to die
Go ahead try, try, try

There may be more here than meets the eye
Way more here than me and I
If you want to touch the sky
Set your sights and set ’em high

Living like you’re never going to die
Go ahead try, try, try

LYRICS
Here comes one walkin’ the dog
There’s one struttin’ outta the fog
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle a little bit
But, but, but, but, but, butt

People to the left
Talkin’bout black
People to the right
Talkin’bout white
Are people deft
On the attack
In spite of spite
Move to all right, alright?!?!

From the feet up the leg
Or, the head down the back
For more n’ more n’ more I beg
You know I love. A natural fact

People to the left
Talkin’bout black
People to the right
Talkin’bout white
From the feet up the leg
Or, the head down the back
We meet at the butt, but…
Sorry, I didn’t mean to make an ass of myself

Chords — Capo 2
Em walked down from top

A 1-track stereo recording made in the USA (West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.)

The song was inspired while sitting on the wall of the Courthouse and writing music. A couple young black “rappers” came and sat next to me on my left. Then, a white “cowboy” came and stood to my right. While I played the guitar, they started rapping back and forth at/with each other; however, despite our differences, we all agreed about the anatomy of the females that were walking by.

Come on, come on, come on
The bands already on stage
Time to, time to, time to
Let the animals outta their cage

Chorus
We’re going to a party tonight
So far, the day’s been outta sight
We’re talkin’ more than alright
In fact, it’s been a party all day
Wouldn’t cha, wouldn’t cha, wouldn’t cha say

Come on, come on, come on
Like children let us engage
No time to, no time to, no time to
Start acting your age

Chorus

Somehow, somehow, somehow
This is totally nuts right now
Anyhow, anyhow, anyhow
I’m speechless… like wow

ABOUT THE SONG

The song was inspired by a new friend, Adam. He heard me writing the music to this song while playing acoustic guitar on the streets of Ambler, PA. First, he just stood there in awe. I stopped playing and introduced myself. He got on the Internet and checked KingArthur.com. That’s when Adam said, “This is totally nuts right now!”

PART 1
In the solidarity of your solitude
Will you find
More than rhyme
In the solidarity of your solitude
Will it come back
You were just a little too rude

Will you blame it on the moon
Will you say your time came too soon
Can you say your time came too soon

Solidarity Of Your Solitude Part 1.mp3

PART 2
In the solidarity of your solitude
If you lock yourself in a closet
In some sort of insane, crazy bet
That you’ve come to regret
It’s not to hard to open the door

Turns out your solitude
Has nothing to do with being rude
This question.. this inquisition
You must ask yourself
That it was never your intention to be rude
Then you should move on and begin
Just like you know you could
Don’t let them get you down
You’ve got to keep on keeping on
’cause there’s people like me
That are glad you’re around

LYRICS
Going, going, going to extremes

One minute it’s hot
The next it’s not

Going, going, going to extremes

One day it snows
The next… who knows

Going, going, going to extremes

It’s not whether there’s gonna be weather
It’s whether we’ll weather the weather

Going, going, going to extremes

After floods dry out
No doubt a drought

Going, going, going to extremes

What do you know
There goes a tornado

Going, going, going to extremes

Some sort of insane
Hurricane

Going, going, going to extremes

Hell, is that hail?
My head’s too frail

Pretty soon a foreign typhoon
Rain of monsoon

Going, going, going to extremes

The answer’s blowin’ in the wind
