LYRICS
I’m on a long, cold, hard road to Bethlehem
Yes, I am
Cold all day in a winter desert way
Over the rough terrain
How to remain sane?
Long, cold, hard road
On a long, cold, hard road to Bethlehem
Yes, I am
At night, the ground will freeze
No such thing as a tropical breeze
Long, cold, hard road
Nazareth to Bethlehem
Not a splinter in winter
Not a splinter of sunlight
It’s cold in the rain at night
Cold in the rain
How to remain sane?
I’m on a long, cold, hard road to Bethlehem
Yes, I am

LYRICS
Ho, ho, here we go gliding through the snow
On the way we say “Happy holiday!”
Ho, ho, here we go gliding through the snow
On the way we sing a caroling thing
A nod to Feliz Navidad
And, ooooh! O Tannenbaum
What do you do where you come from?
Where to begin… what’s your country of origin?
Then, again…
Why order a border?
For what it’s worth, we’re all from Earth!
What’s your rock of origin? Bring it home again! What’s your rock of origin?
LYRICS
All the leaves have fallen
Have we already forgotten
Winter has yet to start
Yet, we feel cold at heart
The cold-hearted started
There’s no room in the inn
Ain’t that a sin?
The cold-hearted started
Why did you bother to come?
Go back to where you’re from!
The days are growing shorter
Cold nights for the squatter
Those that roam far from home
Are left to feel on their own
For those that try and try
Yet, others wish to die
Why condemn the tried?
You’ve tried and crucified

A song about Syria and refugees. Jews, Christians and Muslims are all known as “Religions of The Book”. Sometimes we seem to forget that we are “one and the same” and our message is still the same: Peace On Earth. Goodwill Toward Man.
LYRICS
Trying to get a consensus by holding a census
Count on Augustus counting us
Quirinius governor of Syria… are you really serious?
From Nazareth in Galilee traveled Mary
To Bethlehem… David’s city… while Mary did carry
No room for a stranger
Managed to make it to a manger
Giving birth to heaven on Earth
And all worldly worth
There were shepherds watching over their flocks at night
When lo and behold, the most angelic sight
The angel said, “have no fright”
On Good News, I shed the light
Today Savior has been born to you
This will be a sign to you, too
One knows by his swaddling clothes
Suddenly, a great choir started to sing
Glory to God over everything
Peace on Earth everlasting
LYRICS
Good God! Oh, my God!
… turn it to some heavenly colour.
I’ve been inspired to write a new lyric based on your inspiration.
It’s entitled “My Red Cup” (working title The Holy Grail)
All hail The Holy Grail
My cup is red, but usually only on Easter… er, a… I mean Good Friday. Better yet, roll it out during The Last Supper. “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” Now that I think about it, red cups for a long weekend would be Kosher. (Jesus! After all, I am a Jew.) Start with the plain red cup… then by Easter Sunday (when I rise)… turn it into some heavenly hue. If it’s not too much to ask of you? All hail The Holy Grail!
LYRICS
The day you get to say “that baby’s part me”
May the light of the world shine fine
Lay your eyes upon the spectacle of a miracle
Lay your hands upon me… feel mercy
It’s a miracle! A spectacular spectacle for all!
On the same day that you pray you see delivery
Deliver a server from the heavens to make amends
Send a message of hope and scope of humanity
On the same day that we pray and say Amens
A man, woman, human. Amen
