ABOUT THE SONG
Allhallowtide is a Christian season of remembrance and honor, encompassing All Hallows’ Eve (October 31st), All Saints’ Day (November 1st), and All Souls’ Day (November 2nd).

Remembering the Dead:
The season serves as a time to remember the departed, including family members, friends, and martyrs.
  • Visiting Graveyards:
People visit cemeteries to pray for the deceased and to decorate their graves with flowers, candles, and incense.

  • Soul Cakes:
In medieval times, sweet cakes were baked for Allhallowtide as a form of charity, often given in exchange for prayers for the dead.
