About the Song
Climatic (or “weather”) whiplash is the phenomenon of rapid, severe swings between opposing weather extremes—such as an abrupt transition from a punishing, multi-year drought to intense, destructive flooding. Rather than a gradual change, ecosystems and communities flip-flop between starkly different climate conditions in rapid succession.
