This song is about a bunch of misguide “digital activists”/WallStreetBets/Reddit Users that thought they were taking on Wall Street. Instead, they took advantage of themselves and lost.

A glimpse of reality. A hedge fund entered into options contracts that said they would sell GME stock. The other entity in the options contract owned the options. The stock price was manipulated. The owners of the contracts exercised their options (when the duped investors drove up the price. ) The owners of the options made all your money. You lose. You taught only yourself a lesson.
There are at least two hedge funds… when Melvin Capital (the hedge fund that sold GameStop short / puts) is forced to cover their shorts, it is because the owners of the shorts exercise their options… so Melvin has to go into the market and buy shares at the market rate and sell them to the owner of the options for 20 bucks (or thereabouts). The owner of the options then immediately sells those shares on the open market to robinhood novice and naive investors…. who give all their money to the owners of the options. So, the original owners of the options get all your money. Wallstreetbets did not hurt “wall street”… in fact, just the opposite… Wallstreetbets got a whole bunch of suckers to give $300-500/share to wall street hedge funds. Totally, duped, suckered, and conned giving billions more to wall street hedge funds.
