bookmark_borderUnplugged On The Streets

A song written and recorded at the corners of Gay Street and Church Street ’round midnight in West Chester, Pennsylvania. A battery operated electric / acoustic classical guitar was plugged into a battery enabled chorus foot peddle (to create stereo) that was plugged into a rechargeable M-Audio Microtrack. The setup is a mini mobile recording studio.

I’d say
It’s not that far away
Long as
I don’t go astray
… not that far away

On our way
Supper’s Ready
Blessed day
Hold n’ steady

It’s not that far away

It’s not that far away
Long as
I don’t go astray
… not that far away

There’s only one place I know
Where the land is green
And, the sky is blue

There’s only one place I know
With a menagerie scene
And, love for you

Pour the Milky Way
It’s not that far…
Third house from our star

We call Her
Home Sweet Home
Menagerie
Where people roam
Home Sweet Home

Humbleness
Modestly, I gotta say
Er, a…
A beautiful place
To breed our race
Via
Her Graciousness

Home Sweet Home

The Rollover

C / F / Am
Let’s go!
While tomorrow turns to yesterday

Where will you be
When it turns anti-climatic
Where will you be
For the last act
Where will you be
For the curtain call
Where will you be
When the credits scroll

Do you care to be here at all?

How do you think they will get here
Do you think they will fall from the sky
How do you think they will get here
Do you think they will rise from the dust

Will we try
We must
Will we try
We must

Come on
Join the party
Come on
Join the show
Come on
Let’s go

Not a glutton for punishment
Rather we have enlightenment
Not a glutton for punishment
Nor the punishment for glutton
I’ve got plenty
More than a few
Tryin’ to share this point-of-view

Dream on and on and on and on….

Makin’ the *Dream On* come true
More than fair
Thankful I knew
You’re the much needed fresh air

If we want to stop this from happening
We better wake up

Better wake-up

It would appear the edge is near
At the precipice is us

[secret message here]

Stop the slumber
Start to wonder
Gotta wake-up

Does anybody know what time it is?
I’d really like to go to school today

Please do NOT hit the snooze switch!

I had a vision of some fissures… and geysers…

Holy drinks
Water

The fountains
Spout
The water
Out

From the dirt
An alert

Will the rising sea level cause unusual events?
I mean if the water rises in such a fashion that Mother Nature will be fracking the natural gas, wouldn’t that be a bad thing? Should we get the gas out now?

bookmark_borderFlower Child Sprouts

Inspired by the moonflower seeds that sprouted into the sun… growing more tasty than alfalfa, bean or others.

Written sittin’ on the wall at the corners of Market and High streets in downtown West Chester… while sittin’ next to some sprouts… and before ya knew it, they were sprouting everywhere. A beautiful thing — a flower child patch sprouting.

Quarter fairy, barely
The heat is no match for a sprout
No doubt

Ya play it funked up blues

F# / D# / C# / A# / G# / F#

I’ve got some friends
I’d like you to know
So, let’s get up…
Get up and go

These are the kind of people
Though they don’t congregate
Under a steeple
They help the light shine
The light shine
Shine on and on and on

These people I call friends
Most of them are true
Until the end
Though you know
How things can go
A friend can turn
Into foe
Just so you know

Let the light shine

As far as I know
These are the people
That you want to know
The kind-of friend
You want to the bitter end

Let the light shine on and on and on

So, if you’re not too busy
If you’re not feeling over worked
If you won’t be a complete idiot jerk
I’ll show to some good, good friends
You can be a good, good friend
To the bitter, bitter end

It’s the least I can do
Now that I know you

If it seems you’re day isn’t quite fulfilling
How’s this for gelling
These friends can show ya how to be groovin’
When you get together
It’s like heaven

It’s not a lesson in forgiving
It’s more about believing
In one another
Like sister and brother
Like mother or father
Like son or daughter
