bookmark_borderMaster Of Destiny

LYRICS
Does it appear to be too far away
Far from near
Completely our of reach
Long fro freedom on a reigny day
Be the waves crashing on the beach
Free the slaves
Living in my heart
Given freedom as they depart

Being the master of my destiny
As all demons are set free
Taking control of what is my soul
With the goal
To be free
From agony

If I harbor ill will still
Cast it out and set ‘er to sail
Goodwill fills the void
And calms the wail
As the year draws near
To shed a tear
I’ve come to learn there’s nothing to fear
So long as love I endear

LYRICS
Have you heard about the aliens
With their baggage of alien sins
They say they’re coming this way
They say get out of the way
Have you heard about the aliens
Foreign language of alien sins
I hope they don’t say
In some foreign way
“Take me to your leader”
For I’ll have to convey
“You mean the bottom feeder?”
O.K. are you for real
Hey, hey what is your deal
They said you were coming this way
They said get out of your way
They said You’d have alien ways
And rob all of our days
Please don’t take me to task
And be so bold to ask
“Can you take me to your leader?”

ABOUT THE SONG
A song about immigrants and the “migrant caravan”.

In 2014, there were about 600,000 immigrants that became citizens. There are no numbers under the new administration but the forecast is bleak. In any event, adding 1 new worker for every 500 existing workers is better than nothing; however, it is still inadequate to compensate for our aging population.

An even bigger problem for the economy are the “other” migrant workers, such as, “H-2A Temporary Agricultural Workers” and other low paid workers… right now the USA has millions of low-pay jobs we can not fill. Mostly work that had been performed by migrant labor (that US citizens do not want to do.) The current administration has all but eliminated these types of immigrants. So, now that we can not fill the jobs with taxpaying, SS paying, etc. migrant workers, businesses suffer losses and our economic system suffers losses. Perhaps we will find a few US citizens to take jobs they don’t want to do (though the 6 million jobs have gone unfilled for many months.) More likely, the jobs will be eliminated altogether by AI and robotics. Either way, it is a loss and cost for the US economy in the short and long term.

LYRICS
You’ve got to break the habit?
I don’t like the sounds of it
You say, “in the bud… nip it!”
I don’t like the sounds of it

(chorus)
Fade away
Into yesterday
Memory
Abandon me

You say the turtle will beat the rabbit
I don’t like the sounds of it
Zorro with a lance stance, stab it
I don’t like the sounds of it
(chorus)

Going to start a new habit?
I don’t like the sounds of it
Sedimentation nation wake to riot
I don’t like the sounds of it

LYRICS
This is not about being political
It is about being analytical
The argument is bullet ridden
Should have been left hidden
Under the rock
From whence it crawled
Flabbergasted and appalled

Do the math
Go figure
Logic bath
Claim your

How do you account for it
If it doesn’t add up?

ABOUT THE SONG
This is a song about immigration.
Old, unhealthy… in fact, “dying slowly” demographics are/our not the soul-ution to your economic problems.
[hint: immigrants (both documented and undocumented are a substantial benefit with little to no cost.)]

As our population ages, we need young and healthier people joining the work force. They are the ones we need to fund our pensions, social security, medicare, health care, national debt, etc. Unfortunately, the people my age have squandered our savings. Now, we need population growth to save us. (e.g. Germany and 1,000,000 immigrants to help solve their problem.)

And then, there is the problem with low paid workers… right now the USA has a millions of low-pay jobs they can not fill. Mostly work that use to be performed by migrant labor that US citizens do not want to do. so, now that we can not fill the jobs with taxpaying, SS paying, etc migrant workers, businesses suffer losses. Perhaps we will find a few people to take the jobs they don’t want to do… and under-perform. More likely, the jobs will be eliminated altogether by AI and robotics. In any event, both a loss and cost for the US economy in the short and longterm.

LYRICS
Come on lady
Having a baby
Is this any time or place
For such a display
Messing with my dismay
Try and bring life
Interrupting my strife
You make wallowing in self-pity
Feel real shitty

Bring new soul
To a withering sole
Creating knew soul
Where there was a hole
Is now whole

Maybe shady
Wallowin’ in shadow
Might just feel right
Stepping into the light
A bright insight
Come out of night
Into delight
Born in the realm of reality
The ability

LYRICS
With the words so think
I’d better think quick
‘fore they stick
To the roof of my mouth
Before they’re stuck
Turn to muck
Come on tongue spit it out
Of course
No excess force
I don’t want to shout!
No! You know
Let ’em flow

Before they stick to the roof
Get ’em past a tooth
‘fore they stick
To the roof of my mouth
With words so thick
Better give ’em a kick
Quick
Before they stick
To the roof of my mouth
Come on tongue
Let those words be sung

LYRICS
Maybe you should take a little breather
And then start again
When you are feeling better?
Perhaps you’re standing
Under the weather

Maybe you should take a little chill pill
A break from the drill
Of kill, kill, kill, kill!
Perhaps lack of goodwill
Is causing you ill

Maybe we should think a little harder
Try again
’til we are are feeling better
Perhaps we’re standing
Under the whether?

LYRICS
Look at me slowly
See me wholly
Look deep in my eyes
Look deep in my I’s
They say
When I play
You can hear it
Through spirit

Just for a start
Look deep in your heart
Then try to listen
They say
When you play
You can hear it
Through spirit

Let’s make a fuss
’til they look at us
Dance in the street
With all that we meet
Too often forgot
It’s all that we’ve got
Why not?
Dance in the street
With all that we meet

LYRICS
Prince Of Peace where are you going
Leaving us without knowing
What we’re doing

The devil left us ill
Insists on serving a cease and desist
On our lease for peace
Satanic release

What in the devil are we doing
This civil war is hardly civil
Just what we dread
The left and right are dead
Trampled everything that’s growing

Guess it’s time to kill
That devil
… better still
Will love that devil’s hate
Make it evaporate

LYRICS
What if blue wasn’t really blue
Would it be possible to be true blue?
Hello! Add a little yellow
Scaredy-cat turns green
Can you see the envy
Know what I mean?

See his face turning red
Just because of what I said
You can add some blue
If it makes you sad
That he turned mad
Royal purple clad

If it was only black and white
It’d be easy to see what’s right
It’s apparent it’s not transparent
Until we’re all color blind
We won’t be kind

LYRICS
What has it come to
Reboot overdue
When everyone you know
Wants to turn into foe
Seems it’s getting mighty thick
With the modern hypocrite
I just don’t get it
No not a bit
Human habit
Oh take me to a place
With a humane human race
These cats have turned to dogs
And the greediest of hogs
[interlude]
So with whatever I have left
I will offer as a gift
Hope to give a lift
I love you
And hope you make it through
I do

2 steps back
Ahh but I digress
On how we regress
The past — sordid
The future black
Ahh but I digress

One understands
The ultimate test of tests

Running in circles
Searching for miracles
Ahh but I digress
On how we regress
De-evolution
Hardly a solution
Ahh but I digress
On how we regress

LYRICS
Talent will receive no award
Talent will receive no reward
No participation trophy
For your participation
In your creation
They are trying to define this distribution
They are trying to control this distribution
They are trying to rule this distribution
They are trying to define our distribution
That can not be defined
Far from “fine”
More like “fined”
[Call] Find
Justice for us
[Response] (We know it’s yours,
But now it’s ours)

ABOUT THE SONG
This is a song about the Music Modernization Act and the industry’s attempt to define what they want to control — “streaming music”.

Ever since the 1920’s when the mafia would shakedown speakeasies for royalties, the music industry has attempted to control the distribution of music. In the 70’s, they tried to control the “taping” of music. In the 2000’s, they tried to control music downloads with lawsuits against NAPSTER and little old ladies.

“On September 8, 2003, the recording industry sued 261 American music fans for sharing songs on peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing networks, kicking off an unprecedented legal campaign against the people that should be the recording industry’s best customers: music fans. Five years later, the recording industry has filed, settled, or threatened legal actions against at least 30,000 individuals. These individuals have included children, grandparents, unemployed single mothers, college professors….” (Electronic Frontier Foundation)
Now, they are trying to control “streaming” music. What does this mean? Radio stations that stream their programming? Musicians that stream their music to videos?

The ongoing problems and lawsuits of trying to define what they control will likely be detrimental to musicians and music for decades to come.

And before you know

The weight of the wait
Gone. So long.
No, I won’t go wrong
Grab the bull by the horns
Going to see if he learns
Before it’s too late
The weight of the wait
Gone. So long.
Hey, now Miss… missed her (Mister)
What should I infer
It’s too late
The weight of the wait
Gone. So long.
