LYRICS
Come it hell
Because, well
In high water
What’s the matter
If you’re nailed down
You’re going to drown

Wading in… into the flood
Covered by… covered by mud
Better run around
Hatches battened down

When the water’s on the rise
Puts perspective on your size
Soaking in it… up to my eyes

Seems like all will dishevel
Now that we’re past flood level
Come high water
Come it hell

LYRICS
As the NOT’s in the climate tangle
Need to wrangle a new angle
As the NOT’s in the climate knot
The knot of the winds increase
Sustained winds that wouldn’t cease
Then, the rain came down all around
Until the ground was awash in a flood
Up to my eyeballs in gook, muck and mud

The have’s and the have not’s
All have knots
All have knot
All in knots
Over having “not”

All the world is a stage in The Damage Age

Force 12
Hurricane’s off the shelve
Starting out at 64 knot
Yet not
Done
Sure ain’t no whatnot
Better run
Yell, fella, “To the storm cellar!”

ABOUT THE SONG
Chords
C C# Cm C#m

A song about wind speeds (in knots) and human induced climate change.

“A universal scale of wind speed values — since the scale was originally nautical in nature, and that most wind reports at that time were in nautical miles per hour (or converted to them), these numerical values were given in knots. It was a progressive scale with the range of speed for Forces increasing as you go higher. Thus Force 1 is only 3 knots in range (1 kt – 3 kt), while the Force 11 is eight knots (56 kt – 63 kt) in range. So Force 12 [Hurricane] starts out at 64 knots (74 mph, 33 m/s).”

LYRICS
One foot in a flood
The other in a drought
At the cost of blood
One Forty-Four K naught

Chorus
In the Age of waste not, want not
We let the land of plenty rot
The last page… the last astronaut
Engage in rage… love’s forgot

We engage in rage and the love is forgot

One foot under water
The other in the grave
Worse than pigs, for sure
The way we behave

Chorus

One I for an I
Until we all die
Slowly torture
’till extinction

Chorus

Made in the USA (Marsh Creek State Park and West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.)

This song was written after I read a government report that said over 144,000 people a year are dieing from human induced climate change.  Then, I went to a favorite songwriting spot… and it was flooded higher than I’d ever seen.

Learn more about global warming.
