I’ve been inspired to write a new lyric based on your inspiration.
It’s entitled “My Red Cup” (working title The Holy Grail)
All hail The Holy Grail
My cup is red, but usually only on Easter… er, a… I mean Good Friday. Better yet, roll it out during The Last Supper. “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” Now that I think about it, red cups for a long weekend would be Kosher. (Jesus! After all, I am a Jew.) Start with the plain red cup… then by Easter Sunday (when I rise)… turn it into some heavenly hue. If it’s not too much to ask of you? All hail The Holy Grail!
