bookmark_borderYou Are Beautiful

LYRICS
You are so beautiful
You’re beyond adorable
Of the beauty that was available
You soaked it in
You sucked it in
You’re so beautiful

You’re so beautiful
You’re full of beauty
So, easy to see
Yes, you’re easy on the eyes
The I’s, the me’s and the we’s
You’re so beautiful

It’s like you’re from out of the world
Cuddling, spooned and curled
You’re so beautiful

You are so beautiful
You’re beyond adorable
It’s incomprehensible how beautiful
It would be horrible
If I didn’t take you in
It’s be a sin
So, if you don’t, mind… I’ll begin

You’re the force that’s driving me
You’re the force that’s driving me
Into the future
For sure
You’re so beautiful
For sure

You were going to bet
I couldn’t remember the first time we met
That would have been my biggest regret
If we’d never met
’cause you’re so beautiful
Beyond adorable
You’re taking in the the beauty available
You’re beautiful
Full of beauty

LYRICS
Is there any hope for revitalization of our zombie nation?

Are salvation is in starvation
Is there any hope for revitalization of our zombie nation?

Lookin’ like air pollution is in stagnation
This can’t be hallucination
Oh, we need a crucifixion to save us from this zombie nation
Revitalization of our zombie nation

My mommy… zombie
My daddy… zombie
I’m starting to wonder if even me… zombie

Revitalization of our zombie nation
Revitalization of a zombie nation
Revitalization of this zombie nation
We’ve been in evolution stagnation
It’s way too late for all this hate
Got to hope that the love will rain down from above
Let the love reign down from above

Tired of being dumber
Let’s awake from our slumber
We’ve got this thing outnumbered
We could strive the notion of being alive
Revitalization of our zombie nation
A humane human nation
Revitalization
Rejuvenation

bookmark_borderKindly Mind

LYRICS
Have we all gone blind
To being kind
Have we lost our mind
Have we all gone blind
“I think I’ve lost my mind”
Going blind to being kind
Mankind going blind
To being kind

Do you mind if I ask you a few question?
Do you think we’ve gone blind to being kind?
Has mankind gone blind to being kind?
Have we come to find that mankind is totally blind to being kind?

I came to find mankind has gone blind to being kind
I think we’ll have to change our name
Out of shame
If mankind isn’t kind that leaves us in a bind
We’re gonna have to find another name
What a shame
I suppose it’s me and you
That are to blame
We’re gonna have to find another name
We’re to blame
That’s a shame

I’m hoping there’s still a shred shew
A shred shew to get us through
I do… how about you?
Hate to be a disgrace to the face of mankind
I’m going to find the kind in mankind
In humankind

LYRICS
Oh no
Oh yes
IF you have the chance to choose
If you have the choice to voice
Oh no
Oh yes

Can you pass your test
I suggest
You choose “Oh, yes!”
You want to know
To choose yes
Just say no to no
Just so you know to say no to “Oh, no!”

Oh yes

I confess we’re in a mess
It’s oh no
And, I don’t want to know “Oh, no!”
I suggest we choose “Oh, yes!”

A little less
Oh, no
A little more
Oh, yes
Don’t want to know no
No more
I suggest more “Oh, yes!”
I’d adore some more “Oh, yes!”
Oh, yes!

bookmark_borderStep On A Crack

LYRICS
Did you ever, ever step on a crack
Break your mother’s back

Can you take it back?
I wish I had the knack
To take back the crack

Step on a crack
Break your mother’s back
Step on a crack
But, I lack the knack
To take it back

Stepping on a crack

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Catch a sibling by the toe
Ya, know?
Stepped on a crack
Broke your mother’s back

I lack the knack
To take back the crack

White is white
Black is black
What do you think about that?

LYRICS
Through the clearing
I’m seeing
The time is nearing

Through the clearing
I’m hearing
The time is nearing

Ending

If anything is worth endearing
Somehow… the time is now

Through the clearing
I can see
More clearly
The lack of destiny
It all falls on me
Falling on me

The dust is settling
The smoke is clearing

Through the clearing
I’m hearing
The time is nearing
The Ending

LYRICS
Do you envy the gravy
Pity the poverty?

Do you envy the gravy
Do you pity the poverty?
Are you feeling almighty
Like you’re in the position
To have the opinion
To pity poverty
Amongst the things you do
You’re this and that, too

Some sort-of beast
Some sort-of monster
Stir
Gonna stir
Gonna stir the pot
You say why not?
Maybe it’s time we know
Maybe it’s time they go

LYRICS
I don’t know about that

They think their Casey has come to bat
I don’t know about that
Should have looked before you sat
Cut the calories before so fat
Now you’ve got this fat cat
I don’t know about that
No, I don’t know about that

Not an eye does bat
Do you bat an eye
Did I
Why?

I don’t know about that

We might need a better getter of fact
In fact, we might need a better getter of fact
’cause I don’t know about that
They think they’ll bring their Casey to bat
When in fact it’s just another fat cat
I don’t know about that

Do you think he pull a rabbit out of a hat
Do you think he pull a rabbit out of that hat
I don’t know about that
Do you think you’re bring your Casey to the bat
I don’t know about that

Do you really believe that’s where it’s at
I don’t know about that

No more doormat
I know about that
The genre of bastard… the species of rat
I know about that
Where Humpty Dumpty sat
Before the fall
From the wall
Splat
Where Humpty Dumpty sat
’cause all the King’s horses and all the King’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again
What do you know about that
No more tit for tat
I know about that
Big fat
Fat cat
I don’t know about that
What that

What that

LYRICS
Feelin’
You within
Within my skin
Are you in my skin?

Can’t help but feelin’
I’m fallin’
Feeling I’m falling in love with you

You within the skin
My skin
Feelin’

Can’t help but feeling I’m falling
In love with you

Can’t hide from my hide
When you’re in my skin
Feelin’ I’m fallin’
In Love

And, I’d love to see
If you’re falling in love with me
Are you, too
Are you falling in love, too
Or is it just me

So this is what love is
Effervescence of life
The effervescence of life is
Fizzzzz

Within my skin
Without
I’m out
I found out what I’m about
Falling

It’s true

It’s true
The things you do you do
You do the things you do
You do

Is it true you do the things you do
Is it true to you
Is it true the things you do you do to you
Is it true the things you do you are
Maybe it’s time to get bizarre
Out of your straight-jacket
Self-imposed rat race racket

Down to Earth
With this birth
Coming down to Earth
For the basic birth
Guess I’ll see is in me
’cause what I do I do
It’s true
I guess I’ll see what’s in me
’cause I am as I do
Guess I’ll see inside of me
They say it’s true
It’s true for you
What you do you do
Is it true for you?
You do what you do view
You do what you do
Is a reflection of you

I heard out West the country girl is the best
Standing head and shoulders above the rest
So kick off your spurs… bet that kitty of yours purrs (prrrrrrr)
Check your gun at the door… for sure good time… and more

Come on, Cowgirl, mosey over and dance to guitar
Get really, really close to really, really going far

Allemande left we’ll have a two-step fest
To do-si-do with you is to be blessed
The courtesy to courtesy… may I be your partner
With you by my side, we’re sure to go further

Come on, Cowgirl, mosey over and dance to guitar
Get really, really close to really, really going far
Dance to guitar… piano’s next to the bar
Get really, really close to really, really going far

LYRICS
The water is slowly spinning round and round.
Heading, heading ever, forever down.
I hope I don’t get sucked, quite right in….
Quite, right in. Quite, right in.
… not quite yet.

Forever walking round the paths,
Trying to find my way out.
Forever walking round the paths,
I will never get out….
Of the labyrinth… of the labyrinth… of the labyrinth… of the labyrinth….

What are you afraid of in the labyrinth?
Under my bed
In my head
Bad guys
In disguise

But, I know…
That if we try…
Try to use our mind’s eye,
We can make the walls come,
Tubmlin’ down.

(Walls all around.)
Walls of the labyrinth come tumblin’ down.
Walls come tumbling down.
The walls come tumbling down,
all around… all around… all around… all around.

Labyrinth MMXVI.mp3

ABOUT THE SONG
by Daniel Brouse

The song was originally written for my children. Before going to bed, we would sing. The song starts with one of my childhood fears — being sucked down the drain. Each time we played the song I would pause in the middle… and ask them what they were afraid of. Then, we conquered their fears.

The idea was incorporated in the world’s first interactive music album The Labyrinth

Inspiration came from David Bowie’s “The Labyrinth” and Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”.
