LYRICS
It’s time to put the kids to bed
With pleasant thoughts to fill our heads
I love you
I love you, too
Sweet dream… in bed
Pillow and head
At the very least
May we rest in peace

It’s time to put ’em to bed
With pleasant thoughts to fill our heads
I love you
I love you, too
Sweet dream… in bed
Pillow and head
At the very least
May we rest in peace

LYRICS
What’s all the fuss
What’s all the rush
Must be something dire
Accident or fire
Sound the alarm
Fear and harm
Fire engine siren
Babies dyin’
Always too late
To hesitate
{rest}

Release of police
Belly of the beast
Oppressing the least
Watch the beast feast
Sound the alarm
Fear and harm
Fire engine siren
Babies dyin’
Always too late
To hesitate
{rest}

All the lights and noise
Killing all the joys
Shutting down the street
Stepping on the beat
Sound the alarm
Fear and harm
Fire engine siren
Babies dyin’
Always too late
To hesitate
{rest}

LYRICS
If I’m but a poor pawn biding my time
Might just tempt fate with checkmate
Click bait
Checkmate
Backed yourself into a corner again
Don’t you remember where you’ve been
Move your king to a different square
Go ahead if you dare
All’s fair
Queen beware
We’re almost there

Your bishop prays to an odd god
The crooked rook’s been rooked and took
Use to be knight all day
Now I took it all away
So there
Queen beware
We’re almost there

Lost your castle in a great big hassle
Wow! Can’t hide our hide inside
How there’s nowhere to run
Looks as though your run is done
You care?
Queen beware
We’re almost there

LYRICS
You don’t always find what you seek
You don’t always hide your mystic
The mean seems to be in between
The savage of average

You don’t always give what you take
You don’t always take what you give
In The End there’s a chance
It will balance… out
Rebels shout

If you seek you might find
That there’s others seeking kind
Seek and find the kind kind
Rewind

Look back and inspect
Search for the respect
In your retrospect

LYRICS
Come on! Wake up!
Take it down
Prescribed scribe
Message bound
Do you have your pad and pencil
Take it down way down
Do you have your pen and paper
Take it down way down

Come on! Shake up!
Write it down
The message sage
Now you’re found
Do you have your pad and pencil
Take it down way down
Do you have your pen and paper
Take it down way down

Come on! What’s up?
Jot it down
Unpeel appeal
Report the real
Do you have your pad and pencil
Take it down way down
Do you have your pen and paper
Take it down way down

Come on! Time’s up!
Get it down
Spread the new knews
Be the knews hound
Do you have your pad and pencil
Take it down way down
Do you have your pen and paper
Take it down way down

Swing a hammer with… wrist
Grab a mallet clench

LYRICS
Found the Czar of Bizarre
Driving by in a car
So I thought they’re put
When one comes by on foot
No matter where you are
Nearer by far

Found the Czar of Bizarre
Riding by on a bike
Call a ball or strike
Out by far far out
No matter where you are
Nearer by far

Found the Czar of Bizarre
Standing right with me
Tell me could it be
(Is it a possibility?)
I’m not far from czar
No matter where you are
Nearer by far
Queerer the star
Above subpar
Nearer by far

bookmark_bordersitting ON TOP of the world

LYRICS
Watching all the head banging
Jumping on the bandwagon
Claim the fame of a train wreck
What the heck
No sense hanging
When you’re siting on top of the world

Feeling all the needling
Lost your youthful seedling
Are you always told
You’re growing old
No sense hanging
When you’re siting on top of the world

At “The End” of your rope
Debating if you’ll cope
Waiting for your fate’s
Too late
No sense hanging
When you’re siting on top of the world

LYRICS
When life gets tough
You’re sure you’ve had enough
Bring on less stress
And play the day away

When life’s too hard
Leaving your heart marred
Bring on less stress
And play the day away

Up in smoke… puff
When the going gets rough
Bring on less stress
And play the day away

Don’t take the bait
Of bringing out the hate
(Hate hate?)
Bring on less stress
And play the day away

Bring on the love
The message from above
Bring on the love

LYRICS
Can you please tell me
About molten steel
At any degree expertise
Without any college degrees
Sleep on it
Ask me again in the morning
It’ll give you time
For some learning

Hey, now! Take another look
At how you view Sandy Hook
Disrespecting all the dead
Is about all you’ve said
Sleep on it
Ask me again in the morning
It’ll give you time
For some learning

If this is ignorance bliss
Brain strike
Swing and a miss
Lame brain causing pain
Is disASStrous
You’d better sleep on it
Ask me again in the morning
It’ll give you time
For some learning

LYRICS
I mean
At the very least
Can we uphold the peace
Come clean
Uphold the peace
Cease the grief
Relief
(at least uphold the peace)

Can you take another round
Or are going down
Muffled hear
Or will we sound
Puzzled here
Or will/we’ll rebound
Peace is found

Banish the brash and bold
Those whose hearts turned cold
Left are those that peace uphold

Embrace
The justified place…
… space

LYRICS
Would you say
A banquet fit
For Beggars’ Day
When the winners lose
And the beggars choose
May the last in line
Be the first to dine
(Don’t you think it’s about time?)
And they say
“So it’s told”
One the page
The day and age
The meek inherit the world

In this fable
Are you able
Your treat a seat
At the table

Is it the end of the beginning
Or the beginning of The End
When there is no such thing
As sinning
What’s the message
That you send?

bookmark_borderNot My Problem

LYRICS
Will you say “It wasn’t me.” ?
Will you take responsibility
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

Time to own-up to what we do
I know my fault… how about you?
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

“The End” is certain. This is true.
But why expire
Before our time is due
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

Have you no faith in your fellow man
For crying-out-loud…
… why not do what we can
… at The End of the line?
Fly or cry
… at The End of the line?
Try or whine
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

{E jam: start at 92 BPM increase then decrease tempo to naught}

If you ever let your ponder wonder
More than likely you’ll see clearly
You create your own destiny
Have you “know” curiosity
… at The End of the line?
The End of the line

ABOUT THE SONG

LYRICS
I keep on rocking
Can’t see you frolicking
I keep on talking
Can’t hear you listening
I keep on knocking
But you’re not answering
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

2) If a tree falls in the forest
And you’re the closest
Do you turn a deaf ear
To be clear: do you hear?
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

3) If Little Bo Peep lost her sheep
Would you bother to wake from sleep
River runs deep…. is faith the leap
Pray to God my soul to keep
Is there anyone at home?
I keep on knocking
But you leave me standing all alone

Hear My Rocking Guitar Instrumental.mp3

ABOUT THE SONG
The song was inspired by the dancing kids (one dressed like Little Bo Peep) that were listening to me write this song… as their parents appeared to be in their own little worlds. A five-year-old girl even made a point of showing me how her doll dances, but her parents couldn’t seem to hear the music. Moral of the story: “Don’t grow old. Listen to the music. Dance and jump about!” Written between the corners of Market, High, Gay and Church Streets in Chester County, West Chester, PA — Gay Church.
