[Silence]
[Instrumental Intro: Piano, Deep Sub-Bass Synth, Acoustic Guitar, Organ, Saxophone, Drums, Electric Guitar, Percussion]
[Intro]
Drip, drip…
(Drip, drop)
Tap, tap…
(Who’s keeping track?)
Gray skies…
(Hope tries)
Watching rain fall…
(When is the last call?)
[Instrumental, Psychedelic Synth Jam, Percussion]
[Verse 1]
I watched the raindrops race down the glass
Wondering how long this weather would last
The forecast said it would soon be clear
But the clouds kept gathering year after year
[Pre-Chorus]
Just wait it out
(That’s what they say)
It’ll all blow over
(And go away)
[Refrain]
Raindrops
(On the window)
Rain stops…
(When? I don’t know)
They say
(It’s a passing storm)
This way
(Feels like the new norm)
[Verse 2]
The seasons are shifting, the patterns have changed
The timing of rainfall is getting rearranged
Some places are parched while the rivers run wild
The weather’s gone sideways, unpredictable child
[Pre-Chorus]
Just wait it out
(It’ll pass, they say)
But the baseline’s shifting
(Away, away)
[Instrumental, Saxophone Solo]
[Refrain]
Raindrops
(On the window)
Rain stops…
(When? I don’t know)
They say
(It’s a passing storm)
This way
(Feels like the new norm)
[Bridge]
Maybe this one’s passing
(Maybe that’s true)
But what about the next one?
(What will it do?)
[Instrumental, Psychedelic Synth Jam, Percussion]
(Tap, tap, tap…)
(Rolling thunder…)
(Drip, drip, drip…)
(Going under…)
[Breakdown]
Passing storm…
(Or changing norm?)
Rain stops…
(Or plops?)
[Final Refrain]
Raindrops
(On the window)
Rain stops…
(When? I don’t know)
They say
(It’s a passing storm)
This way
(Feels like the new norm)
[Outro]
Raindrops
(Keep on falling)
Thunder rolls
(The water’s calling)
They say
(It’s a passing storm)
But the world outside
(Doesn’t feel the same anymore)
Drip, drip…
(Still falling)
Tap, tap…
(Still calling)
Raindrops…
(On the window)
Rain stops…
(When? I don’t know)
[Silence]
[End]
