[Silence]
[Instrumental, Guitar, Piano, Organ, Synth, Bass, Percussion, Drums]
[Intro]
Time rolls on, the years go by
Clouds drift past a changing sky
Another turn, a winding track
Here I am, just looking back!
[Verse 1]
Some days sunny, some days gray
Somehow found my own way
Took a chance and learned a lot
Made the best of what I’ve got
A few wrong turns along the road
A few more stories to be told
Trying to figure it out
That’s what life’s about!
[Refrain]
Looking back
(Looking back on life)
As a matter fact
(Not that much strife)
Life’s been good…
(Good to me so far)
Doing what I could
(Landing above par)
… no matter where you are
[Verse 2]
There were dreams I chased around
Some took flight, some touched the ground
Some surprises came my way
Some things just refused to stay
Didn’t need to win them all
Didn’t mind the occasional fall
Another lesson, another view
Made me more as I grew
[Refrain]
Looking back
(Looking back on life)
As a matter fact
(Not that much strife)
Life’s been good…
(Good to me so far)
Doing what I could
(Through the bizarre)
… no matter where you are
[Bridge]
No regrets? Well, not quite!
Had a few long nights
But the wrong turns helped me see
There’s no perfect recipe
You can’t control the wind
Or how the next day’s gonna begin
Just keep moving, do your part
Keep a little love in your heart!
[Instrumental Break]
Looking back!
(Here we go!)
Looking back!
(What a show!)
Round the bend
(Around again)
Each new start
(A work of art!)
[Final Refrain]
Looking back
(Looking back on life)
As a matter fact
(Not that much strife)
Life’s been good…
(Good to me so far)
Doing what I could
(Through the bizarre)
… no matter where you are
Looking back
(And looking ahead)
All the things I’ve done
(All the words I’ve said)
Life’s been good…
(And there’s more to do)
A little wiser now
(While growing true)
[Outro]
Looking back…
(With a smile)
Looking back…
(Been a while)
Life’s been good…
(Good to me so far)
Doing what I could…
(Through the bizarre)
… no matter who you are
[Final Hit]
[End]
