LYRICS
Some good things are:
Are closest star
And things not so far
Some good things are:
Being on par
For going that far
Well if we are….
All right then here we go
We get to know
The right to yearn to learn
We get to grow
The right to learn and know

Sounds good so far
Dreams, happiness, peace, love
All the above
Sounds better yet
Hope I never forget
All the above

It’s not like it’s the first time
Been said time and again
Won’t find reason or rhyme
If The End
Is to begin

Turn off the light
Best say good night
Turn off that light!
Hate to spoil
Your midnight oil

More like it’s the last time
Oxygen is getting thin
Won’t find reason or rhyme
If The End
Is to begin

Turn off the light
Best say good night
Turn off that light!
Hate to spoil
Your midnight oil

Welcome to The End of our time
Not said ever again
Won’t find reason or rhyme
If The End

Best say good night
Turn off that light!

Sitting here thinking
I bet I never would have thought of that
And that was that
Like a light bulb

Going off in my head

Hard to believe
I could conceive
Because there I was

LYRICS
You can get a glimpse
Of a 3-eyed shrimp
At the festival
No more can the dinosaur
Soar or explore
Since the festival

March of the human race
Has left it’s deadly trace
Through the heart of the desert
Planned it
Damn it!

Took the chance to dance
On an ancient stance
At the festival
3-eyed shrimp could not endure
Put an end to the dinosaur
Since the festival

March of the human race
Has left it’s deadly trace
Through the heart of the desert
Planned it
Damn it!

Three-Eyed-Dinosaur-Shrimp.mp3

This is a song about the Burning Man festival of 2023. The Metro UK reported, “Floods at Burning Man have woken up organisms that can lie dormant in the dried-out lake bed for decades. Triops and fairy shrimp are small crustaceans that can survive extreme environmental conditions like drought. They do this by laying eggs that can remain dormant for years until the right conditions are met. When it rains, the eggs hatch and the shrimp emerge to live in the newly formed water. Triops are related to the oldest living creature, Triops cancriformis, which is why they are sometimes called ‘dinosaur shrimp’.”

Rain is rare in the desert of Nevada. 70,000 people marching over the mating of 3-eyed shrimp is even rarer. Now the question is — will any of the Three-Eyed Dinosaur Shrimp survive?

It’s hard to talk
To a rock
No matter how hard
You knock, knock, knock
An intelligent question?
Out of the question

Maybe it’s time
You clean your clock
Toys in the attic
Check your stock
It’s hard to talk
To a rock
No matter how hard
You knock, knock, knock
An intelligent question?
Out of the question

Mental digestion
Mental suggestion
Regurgitated meal spiel
Spew through and through
Unkind diarrhea of the mind
It’s hard to talk
To a rock
No matter how hard
You knock, knock, knock

LYRICS
Look at the monster we’ve created
Built our Frankenstein
Then we aggravated
Running out of time
(It’s Frankenstein time)
Our beast is on the loose
Let’s see what fear we’ll induce
The extreme havoc we’ll produce

Look at the disasters… all related
From the monster we created
Then aggravated
Of course we should be berated
’cause we’re… running out of time
(It’s Frankenstein time)
Our beast is on the loose
Let’s see what fear we’ll induce
The extreme havoc we’ll produce

Look how mean is our extreme
Knowledge based on a friggin’ meme
Dangerous to all of us

Dangerous to us
Disastrous to us
It’s Frankenstein time
Our beast is on the loose
Let’s see what fear we’ve induced
The extreme havoc we produced

Now that I’m stuck betwixt
Try n’ find an easy fix
I mean between
A rock and a hard place
The place I’ve been placed
By the human race
I mean obscene
Can’t keep up the pace
Without falling on my face
When you look inside
Deep, deep inside
There’s no where to run
There’s no where to hide

When we rearrange rearrange
With climate change
We accelerate the strange
Now that we’re stuck betwixt
Try n’ find an easy fix

LYRICS
Near the top of the mountain
Where the river starts to flow
Here the “opt in” to begin
To deliver down below
What will we see
On the way to the sea
What will become of me
The curtsy of humanity
Or our catastrophe?

Down into the valley
Where the river’s heart does glow
Because quite sadly
The humans made it so
What will we see
On the way to the sea
What will become of me
The curtsy of humanity
Or our catastrophe?

Somehow through the mouth of the bay
Diluted by all they’ve polluted
They say it had to be this way
Wild-eyed and deluded
Had what we’ll be in our home in the see
What became of we
Cruelty of humanity
Till we can not sea

Have some… have some more
Then, some
Pour until poor
Why indulge the bulge

Some sum
Ridiculous and/or dumb

In 2023, we wrote about having crossed tipping points in the paper, “Climate Change: How Long Is ‘Ever’?“. When we forecast crossing these tipping points, we thought it would not happen for centuries. We underestimated Man’s ignorance and arrogance. Fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions have continued to set record highs. Humans have caused chain-reactions resulting in domino-effects, snowball effects, and feedback loops.

Conclusion

The United States has unsustainable mass consumption. US consumers are destroying the world’s environment and economies. The excessive demand of US consumers has resulted in the exploitation of natural resources, the largest emissions of pollution and greenhouse gases, inflation, currency disparity, and the largest redistribution of wealth in the world. Americans’ mass consumption is responsible for creating the greatest income disparity, wealth inequity, and poverty.

Missed a way to pull you through
If the proof is in the pudding
Then what the hell are we doing?
The aloof in charge of pushing
Whatever the hell we’re doing
Pissed away a nice sunny day
Missed a way to pull you through
If it’s plain as the nose on our face
Then why the damn disgrace
The insane in charge of the place
“Whatever,” the human race says
Pissed away a nice sunny day
Missed a way to pull you through
If the road ahead is obvious
Then what the hell is wrong with us
We’ll erode our charge illustrious
Whatever the hell destroys us
Pissed away a nice sunny day
Missed a way to pull you through

Is today the day
Get on your soapbox
And say
Hey, hey, hey!
Walk right this way
You’ll be happy to pay
For a pair of shackles and locks
We’re bound to our trajectory
Cast our die to die retroactively
Isn’t it plain for all to see
Isn’t it plain for all to see
Plain to see

Is today the day
You sound the alarm
And say
Hey, hey, hey!
Walk right this way
You already paid
For fear and harm
We’re bound to our trajectory
Cast our die to die retroactively
Isn’t it plain for all to see
Isn’t it plain for all to see
Plain to see

Is today the day
Get let it be known
And say
Hey, hey, hey!
Please clear the way
You don’t have to pay
There’s no one
Cast our die to die retroactively
Isn’t it plain for all to see
Isn’t it plain for all to see

LYRICS
I’m on the marks for the get-go
On the ready for the show
Their minds are set on the don’t know
And whichever way the winds blow
If it blows to the right
Then they just might
Fight over what is left
Or who is more daft
(No one laughs?!?!)

I’m on the marks for the get-go
On the ready for the show
Their minds are set on the don’t know
And whichever way the winds blow
If it blows to the East
They’ll do the least
If it blows to the West
… even less
Beasts at best

I’m on the marks for the get-go
On the ready for the show
Their minds are set on the don’t know
And whichever way the winds blow
If it blows from the South
Watch your mouth
They don’t believe in pollution solution
As far as they can see
It’s a conspiracy

I’m on the marks for the get-go
On the ready for the show
Their minds are set on the don’t know
And whichever way the winds blow

A song about:
According to an analysis from the Center for American Progress, there are still 139 Republicans in the 117th Congress, including 109 representatives and 30 senators, who refuse to acknowledge the scientific evidence of human-caused climate change. All 139 of these climate-denying Republicans have made recent statements casting doubt on the clear, established scientific consensus that the world is warming—and that human activity is to blame. These same 139 climate-denying Republicans have received more than $61 million in lifetime contributions from the coal, oil, and gas industries.

LYRICS
Make a split decision
Is it, “My way or the highway”?
Then can you envision
Running out of gas real fast?
Can’t last past our past
(Very much longer)
Can’t last past our past
(Is it any wonder?)
Can’t last past our past

Take the span of our decisions
How often do we take the wrong way?
Given Man’s lack of vision
What makes you think it will be O.K.?
Can’t last past our past
(Very much longer)
Can’t last past our past
(Is it any wonder?)
Can’t last past our past

When asked, “Cake or pie?”
We said, “Oh, but, why? I want it all!”
It’s now do or die
We said, “Oh, but, why? As we fall….
Can’t last past our past
(Very much longer)
Can’t last past our past
(Is it any wonder?)
Can’t last past our past

We’ll soon discover
Our cup runneth over
And, over

The empty cup

Look to the heart

Accelerate
What’s the debate?
At any rate
It’s too, too late
Wishless
Into the abyss
Like this….

Can’t regulate
Out-of-control
Look at our state
What is your role?
Wishless
Into the abyss
Like this….

Can’t slow
Can’t wait
Got to make haste
All show
Post-date
Got to make waste
Wishless
Into the abyss
Like this….

Accelerate
What’s the debate?
At any rate
It’s not too late
It’s too, too late

At what rate is climate change accelerating?
A: Rapidly
As described above, we do not know the rate of acceleration other than to say it is more rapid than previously thought. In the summer of 2023, the extreme temperatures left most climate scientists shocked. The average earth surface temperature recorded record highs for months reaching over 3 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. The Paris Agreement calls for keeping temperatures below 1.5 degrees. Scientists concur that a rise of 2 degrees will trigger feedback loops and tipping points. Triggering these tipping points results in the CO2 stored in nature to be released. Though we do not know how much carbon is stored in nature, it would be reasonable to assume that the temperature could be pushed from 3 degrees to 6 degrees above pre-industrial levels. Humans can not thrive above a rise of 1.5 degrees. Humans can not survive if the temperature rises 6 degrees.

About the 2023 wildfires in Hawaii, Governor Josh Green said, “For perspective, we’ve had six fire emergencies this August, we had six fire emergencies between 1953 and 2003. That’s how- how fast things are changing. I know that there is debate out there whether we should be talking about climate change or not. Well, let’s be real world, climate change is here we are in the midst of it with a hotter planet, and fiercer storms.”

About the catastrophic die-off of 10,000 emperor penguin chicks in the Antarctic, Dr. Caroline Holmes of the British Antarctic Survey (an expert on Antarctic sea-ice) said, “What we’re seeing right now is so far outside what we’ve observed previously. We expected change but I don’t think we expected so much change so rapidly.” — from “Climate Change: Rate of Acceleration” / Brouse and Mukherjee (2023)
