[Intro]
Feel that spark, feel that sound
Something’s happening all around
Kickstart an idea, increase stimulation
Ready, set, imagination!

[Verse 1]
A flash of color, a sudden thought
A brand-new rhythm that can’t be bought
Touch curiosity, such desire
Our tiny spark can start a fire

[Refrain]
Are you excitable
(If you’re able)
… to excite
(Let’s get it right)

Imagination
(Excitable)
Stimulation
(Ignitable)

… set us alight
(Excite!)

[Verse 2]
A new sensation, a different view
A million things that we could do
A beat, a color, a word, a rhyme
The right combination at the right time

[Refrain]
Are you excitable
(If you’re able)
… to excite
(Let’s get it right)

Imagination
(Excitable)

Excite the mind
(Expand the view)
Excite the senses

Excite the motion
(Shake it loose)
Excite the moment
(There’s no excuse!)

From a whisper to a shout
Let the energy come pouring out
A given thought, raised possibility
The spark of creativity!

[Breakdown]
Can you make it happen?
(We can!)
Can you feel the action?
(Amen!)

Can you start a fire?
(That’s right!)
Can you take it higher?
(Excite!)

[Final Refrain]
Are you excitable
(If you’re able)
… to excite
(Let’s get it right)

Imagination
(Excitable)
Stimulation
(Ignitable)

… set us alight
(Excite!)

[Outro]
A little spark, a big reaction
A simple thought, a chain of action
Keep it moving, keep it bright
Imagination set alight!

Excitable!

bookmark_borderMonster Master

[Intro]
Two big monsters…
That’s what he called them.
The biggest stars in the country?
Well, let’s see what happens
When monsters get the master key.
(We shall see…)

[Verse 1]
Behind the curtain, pulling strings
Building castles for the kings
One writes the rules, one sets the tone
While ordinary folks lose ground below

Corrupt power, spewing fear
A loyal voice in every ear
No need to hide what you command
When you’ve got the monster master plan

[Pre-Chorus]
Who’s in charge?
(Who’s pulling the strings?)
Who’s getting rich?
(Who’s serving the king?)

A government turned upside down
While trouble travels town to town

[Refrain]
The monster’s master
(Taking us down…)
Faster and faster
(Just look around)

Shout out
(There is no doubt)
The monster master
(Is an international disaster)

[Verse 2]
Vought’s got the blueprint, Miller’s got the flame
Two big monsters in the power game
One cuts the programs, one draws the line
And the boss says everything’s just fine

Make the headlines, make the rules
Turn the people into fools
Dismantle checks, rewrite the script
Then blame the ones who notice it

[Pre-Chorus]
Pumped up chaos
(Out of control)
Hate and cruelty
(As the headlines roll)

Who needs a conscience?
(Who needs a plan?)
When every problem
(Is somebody else’s hand?)

[Refrain]
The monster’s master
(Taking us down…)
Faster and faster
(Just look around)

Shout out
(There is no doubt)
The monster master
(Is an international disaster)

[Verse 3]
He said, “I wonder if I should say this”
Asked his two big monsters for advice
“They’re gonna be the biggest stars”
While the rest of us are counting scars

A strange confession, a revealing phrase
A glimpse behind the political haze
When leaders boast about the beasts they feed
Perhaps it’s time to question where they lead

[Bridge]
Monster! (Master!)
Who’s the puppet? (Who’s the pastor?)
Monster! (Faster!)
Who’s the one who’s pulling after?

Vought! (Power!)
Miller! (Fire!)
Who’s raising the stakes
And who’s feeding the wire?

Two big monsters
(That’s what he said)
Two big stars
(Inside his head)

But who’s responsible?
(You know who!)
The one who gives them
(The power to do!)

[Verse 4]
Democracy is not a throne
The country isn’t yours alone
The law is not a private tool
And public trust is not for fools

Institutions built to stand
Can’t be toys in any hand
When power answers only to power
That’s when the people face the darkest hour

[Refrain]
The monster’s master
(Taking us down…)
Faster and faster
(Just look around)

Shout out
(There is no doubt)
The monster master
(Is an international disaster)

No more monsters
(No more fear!)
No more silence
(The truth is here!)

No more kings
(No royal class!)
No more breaking
(What should last!)

The question isn’t who they are
Or how they became the stars
The question is who gave them the keys
And who’s accountable for what we see

[Final Refrain]
The monster’s master
(Taking us down…)
Faster and faster
(Just look around)

Shout out
(There is no doubt)
The monster master
(Is an international disaster)

[Outro]
Two big monsters!
(So he said!)
Two big stars!
(In his head!)

Who’s the master?
(Who’s to blame?)
Who’s responsible?
(Own the game!)

Monster master…
(Disaster!)
Monster master…
(Faster! Faster!)

International disaster!

About the Song
Donald Trump said, “So I said, I wonder if I should say this. I’d like a little advice from my two people, my two big monsters that are going to do so well. They’re going to be the biggest stars in the country in a week” when referring to Russ Vought and Stephen Miller.”

The new release of the day is a Halloween ditty titled “Monster Master,” inspired by Donald Trump’s description of Russ Vought and Stephen Miller as his “two big monsters” who were going to become “the biggest stars in the country in a week.”

Sometimes the best political satire writes itself. This one’s about the monsters, the master, and the international disaster unfolding on the world stage.

[Intro]
Ladies and gentlemen…
The royal performance is about to begin.
Another day, another outrage…
And the world’s still watching again and again.

[Verse 1]
Strutting round the grand ballroom
Acting like the king of the room
Throws a tantrum, points a finger
Leaves the damage just to linger

Each promise, each boast
Turns to smoke and empty toast
Waves the flag and claims the prize
While the truth gets victimized

[Pre-Chorus]
Round and round, the stories spin
Blame the world for every sin
Make a scene, then disappear
Leaving everybody else to bear…

Run ragged

Selling off integrity
While the loyal crowd applauds
He mistakes himself for God

About the Song

When fossil fuels are burned, carbon combines with atmospheric oxygen:

C + O2 → CO2

The process consumes O2 and produces CO2. Because the additional atmospheric CO2 is accompanied by a measurable decline in atmospheric O2, the observations are consistent with large-scale combustion of carbon rather than simply a redistribution of carbon through the natural carbon cycle.

This is especially important because the ocean, vegetation, and atmosphere continuously exchange carbon and oxygen. Natural processes can move carbon between reservoirs, but they do not explain the simultaneous long-term pattern of rising CO2, falling O2, declining 13C/12C, and declining radiocarbon.

The four observations reinforce one another:

Anthropogenic Global Warming Proven

Rising atmospheric CO2
↓
Declining 13C/12C
↓
Declining 14C
↓
Declining atmospheric O2

Together, these measurements provide a chemical and isotopic fingerprint of fossil-carbon combustion.

Volcanoes do not produce the observed isotopic pattern, and the natural carbon cycle cannot account for the simultaneous changes in the required direction and magnitude.

The molecules carry their own fingerprint—and the atmosphere is preserving the evidence in both carbon and oxygen.

About the Song
To “freeze” the sunset and keep the sun in the exact same position on the horizon, you would need to run westward at a speed that perfectly matches the Earth’s rotation.

Because the Earth is a sphere, the required speed depends entirely on your latitude:
• At the Equator: You would need to run at roughly 1,037 mph (1,670 km/h). This is faster than the speed of sound.
• At Mid-Latitudes (e.g., New York, Los Angeles, Madrid): The Earth’s circumference is smaller here, so you would need to run at about 500 to 750 mph (800 to 1,200 km/h).
• Near the Poles: Very close to the North or South Pole, the Earth’s rotational speed drops drastically. If you were within a few miles of a pole, you could easily outrun the sunset at a casual walking or jogging pace.

About the Song

A groundbreaking study published in Science reveals that dogs and humans share a surprising ability: their brains preferentially track consonant patterns to identify words in continuous speech.

When human infants begin learning language, they face a fundamental challenge. Spoken language flows continuously, without clear pauses marking the boundaries between words. Babies must learn to recognize patterns in that stream of sound to determine where one word ends and another begins.

Dogs face a similar challenge when listening to humans. Research suggests that their brains use a speech-processing strategy previously demonstrated in humans but not in other nonhuman mammals, including primates.

What the Study Found

Researchers at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest compared brain activity in 20 dogs and 20 human adults using noninvasive electroencephalography (EEG). Participants listened to continuous streams of artificial, three-syllable nonsense words while researchers measured how their brains responded to recurring sound patterns.

The researchers tested three types of sound sequences: words structured around recurring consonant patterns, words structured around recurring vowel patterns, and random sequences without consistent word patterns.

The results revealed a striking similarity between dogs and humans:

  • Consonant bias: Both species showed stronger neural synchronization with word-level patterns when consonants defined the structure of the words.
  • Word segmentation: The findings indicate that dogs’ brains can track recurring patterns in continuous speech, helping distinguish word-like units without pauses or other obvious boundaries.
  • A difference between species: Humans also tracked vowel-defined patterns, although less effectively than consonant-defined patterns. Dogs did not show the same ability to track the vowel-defined words.
  • Learning through exposure: Dogs with different early-life experiences showed a similar consonant bias, suggesting that regular exposure to speech and the ability to learn patterns may help explain this ability.

A Speech-Processing Ability Once Thought to Be Uniquely Human

Across many human languages, consonants carry important information for distinguishing words, even though vowels are often acoustically more prominent. Human brains tend to exploit those consonant patterns when extracting words from continuous speech.

The findings demonstrate that this preference is not exclusive to humans. Dogs can exhibit a similar neural strategy despite lacking human-like language abilities.

The study does not establish that dogs understand every word they hear or process language exactly as human infants do. Rather, it provides evidence that dogs and humans share an important mechanism for detecting word patterns in speech.

Could This Explain Why Certain Commands Work So Well?

Perhaps this helps explain why commands such as “out,” “car,” and “walk” get such a good response from dogs.

These familiar words contain distinctive consonant patterns that may help dogs recognize them within the flow of human speech. Their response also depends on experience, context, learned associations, and other sound cues, so the study does not prove that consonant bias alone explains their effectiveness.

Still, the connection is fascinating: the sounds we use to communicate with our dogs may be processed by their brains in ways that resemble an important feature of early human speech processing.

The bigger lesson: Dogs do not need human language abilities to develop sophisticated ways of detecting patterns in human speech. Living alongside us may help shape how their brains listen to the world.

(And throw the dice)

No more waiting
(No more doubt)
Found the exit
(I’m checking out!)

You can keep
(Your alibis)
I’m moving on
(With open eyes!)

[Pre-Chorus]
No hard feelings
(Well, maybe some)
No more dealing
(With what’s become)

The final curtain
(The last goodbye)
Watch me wave
(As I pass by!)

[Refrain]
Ha ha… (hasta la vista)

Hasta la vista
(Baby!)
To be perfectly clear
(No… not maybe…)
I’m outta here

(Ha ha) Hasta la vista
(Baby!)

[Verse 2]
You had your chance
(You had your say)
Tried to keep me
(But I slipped away)

Twist the story
(Spin the blame)
Every time
(It’s the same old game)

You want attention
(You want control)
But I’m reclaiming
(My very soul!)

No more drama
(No encore)
You can shout
(I’m out the door!)

[Pre-Chorus]
No hard feelings
(Well, maybe some)
No more dealing
(With what’s become)

The final curtain
(The last goodbye)
Watch me wave
(As I pass by!)

[Refrain]
Ha ha… (hasta la vista)

Hasta la vista
(Baby!)
To be perfectly clear
(No… not maybe…)
I’m outta here

(Ha ha) Hasta la vista
(Baby!)

Adiós!
(The last dose!)
Ciao, baby!
(Oh can’t you see)

Don’t call me
(Don’t text me)
Don’t try to
(Second-guess me!)

It’s not revenge
(It’s release)
Walking away
(Brings us peace)

No more circles
(No more spin)
Close the chapter
(Begin again!)

You had your moment
(You had your shot)
Now I’m leaving
(Give it all you’ve got!)

One step out
(One step free)
No more you
(No more “me, me, me”)

No looking back
(No turning round)
Hear that laughter?
(That’s freedom’s sound!)

[Final Refrain]
Ha ha… (hasta la vista)

Hasta la vista
(Baby!)
To be perfectly clear
(No… not maybe…)
I’m outta here

(Ha ha) Hasta la vista
(Baby!)

Hasta la vista
(Baby!)
Don’t need another excuse
(No more abuse!)
I’m cutting loose!

(Ha ha) Hasta la vista
(Baby!)

[Outro]
Gone!
(Already?)
Yep!
(You ready?)

Ha ha…
(Hasta la vista!)

Baby!

About the Song
When the colors of a rainbow meet, they do not mix like paint to create muddy browns or new solid colors. Instead, the colors blend perceptually because a rainbow is a continuous spectrum of visible light, not a collection of separate bands of pigment. The way these colors appear where they meet is governed by optics, the distribution of wavelengths, and how our eyes and brains perceive light.

Here is what actually happens where the vibrant colors of a rainbow meet.

1. A Rainbow Is a Continuous Spectrum, Not Seven Separate Stripes

A rainbow contains a continuous range of visible wavelengths, from violet at the shorter-wavelength end to red at the longer-wavelength end. The familiar colors—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet—are convenient labels for portions of that spectrum, not distinct bands separated by sharp boundaries.

Water droplets refract and internally reflect sunlight, directing different wavelengths toward an observer at different angles. The result is a gradual transition between colors rather than a series of perfectly isolated stripes. Where neighboring wavelength ranges meet, the eye perceives transitional hues, such as orange between red and yellow.

2. Overlapping Light Can Produce Brighter, Less Saturated Colors

Unlike paint, which mixes through subtractive color mixing, light combines through additive color mixing. When different wavelengths of light reach the eye together, their contributions combine to produce a perceived color.

When red, green, and blue light are combined in suitable proportions, they can produce white light. However, simply overlapping neighboring rainbow colors does not automatically produce white. White requires an appropriate combination of wavelengths and intensities.

A rainbow’s colors do not physically blend back into their original white sunlight at its edges. Instead, the spectrum remains distributed by wavelength. The sky’s brightness inside and outside the primary rainbow also depends on how sunlight is scattered and redirected by water droplets. The region inside the primary bow often appears brighter than the region immediately outside it.

3. Your Eyes and Brain Interpret the Spectrum as Distinct Colors

The human visual system does not perceive every visible wavelength as a uniquely distinguishable color. Our cone cells respond to overlapping ranges of wavelengths, and the brain interprets their combined signals as color.

Because a rainbow’s spectrum is continuous, our perception organizes it into familiar categories. The boundaries between these categories are subjective rather than fixed physical divisions. Different observers may distinguish slightly different shades or identify the same transitional color differently.

The bottom line: A rainbow’s colors form a continuous spectrum. Neighboring colors transition gradually because their wavelengths are distributed across a range of viewing angles. Additive color mixing explains how different light wavelengths combine in our perception, but it does not mean the rainbow’s bands physically merge into white light.
