Battle won. War Lost.
Not most. Forever Lost.
Now no one
Know no one

Moan… in the alone zone
Betwixt ain’t a fix

Pain gone…
Or endlessly lingering on?

Want to be free from “me”?
That’s no destiny

Save you from your slave

LYRICS
With my eyes open
I dream a scene
A reaching arm
Just under the surface

Now you are coping
With the real mean
A soul alarm
Craving for your face

Instead of a fix…
… you’re drowning in the river Styx

Swirling your head
In a cesspool of dead

Can’t shout “reach out!”

LYRICS
I’m wondering (I wonder) how hard
Is the cement really that thick?
I wonder (I’m wondering) how hard
If I’m going to dive through…
… is there a trick

Chorus
A circle of angels singing ’round your head
When the jumper jumps, he makes his own bed
You know it’s really, really gonna smart
Right before you start to stop your heart

Should I go head first
To minimize the pain
Should I go feet first
With or agin’ the grain?

Chorus

Feeling like a black cloud is hovering?
Well if it keeps on raining….

It’s raining. It’s pouring. Hit his head… now, he’s dead.
Couldn’t get up in the mourning.

The rain spills upon the hill
Runnin’ down, down, down
Runnin’ still… runnin’ ’till fill
Wash the black cloud frown
Away

Flashflood
The day you wash away
Flesh n’ blood
The day you wash away

Gonna fill
To the high water mark
Run until
… the high water mark

on a lark, embark

What was the reason for the breakdown in reason
Was it the season
The super full moon
Crack the loon?

What was the reason for the breakdown in reason
Was it a lesion
Lack of medication
Too much meditation

Om, um, I’m
Heaven

As a matter of fact
The fact of the grey matter doesn’t matter
… what does matter
Is to realize — it’s all the I’s
Me and you, too

My thoughts have been on paying him respect.
Was it correct…
The thing society did neglect
Respect
Might not have been given to him… in hindsight.
Might, right?
… and he deserved some… deserved sum

LYRICS
When the world takes its toll
Where do you park your soul
At the parking garage
Fall through the mirage

When you can’t swallow
What they dole
Where do you park your soul
At the parking garage

When it’s too shallow
Shot from the grassy knoll
Or the parking garage
Look! There goes a piece of the President’s brain
Who’s insane

When the world takes its toll
Where do you park your soul
At the parking garage
Fall through the mirage

LYRICS
What the heck…
A noose around the neck
Or bullet to the head?
Now you’re dead

What excuse can you give
For not wanting to live
Why?
You can always die. Why not try?
Might as well strive to stay alive

Struggler juggler
The 3-ring-circus of life
Here’s the thing
… focus on the love (On the love!)

We’re in the age…
… where All The World’s Stage
Don’t save all your applause
For the final curtain call
Don’t hesitat3… pause…
Tear down the wall!

The sting of hangin’ from a piano string
Feel the joy
When life’s a toy

It’s the law of diminishing returns
It’s quite possible to have had too much
The trick-of-the-matter… knowin’ when it burns
Churn evil n’ hatred and the brimstone such

When you’ve had too much water
… they call it drownin’
When you’re too much the doddler
… then you’re the glutton

When you’e had too much food

When you’ve had too much blood

We learn…

When the levee breaks sure won’t be so dry

“The Maid Freed from the Gallows” is one of many titles of a centuries-old folk song about a condemned maiden pleading for someone to buy her freedom from the executioner. It was recorded in 1939 as “The Gallis Pole” by folk singer Huddie “Lead Belly” Ledbetter, but the most famous version was the 1970 arrangement of the Fred Gerlach version by English rock band Led Zeppelin, which was titled “Gallows Pole” on the album Led Zeppelin III.
