Song Writing and Recording Along the Brandywine

LYRICS
While under the attack of a hawk
I heard a bluejay say, “Squawk!”
As I looked around…
I found… something fishy… wishy-washy

The mirage of camouflage

All the while your style
Appearing perched on the edge of the ledge
Like you might jump at any moment
But, wait a minute!
You mean…
All the while before a blue-screen
I mean
All the while before a green-screen?

The mirage of camouflage

Gonna call your bluff
On crying “wolf”
Gonna chill your marrow
When you discover you’re really in peril
You’ve become sterile
So much for tomorrow

ABOUT THE SONG
Chords — Em
G Am Em

Written and recorded live along the Brandywine Creek between Lenape and Chadds Ford, Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA. It was inspired by the wildlife and the imminent danger that humans present (in particular due to global warming.) There was a sucker fish lying on the bottom with camouflage that made it look like shadows.

LYRICS
If you just have dessert
How can you have “just dessert”
Becoming a spoiled thing

Chorus
When you hide behind a veil
Don’t you think it’ll pale
In comparison
When you scream to no avail
You’ve come to the end of the rail (trail)
Feel compression

If you fail to inhale
How to compare a breath of fresh air
Becoming a soiled thing

Chorus

It’s hard to find the truth
Born silver spoon in mouth
Delivered a thing… spoiled

Chorus
