bookmark_borderInner Viking

LYRICS
winds are blowing
Clouds are building
Knowing…
There’ll be no eluding
Thunder’s clapping
Lightning’s striking
Tapping…
My inner Viking
When they bury me
Flaming at sea
All on shore shall see
All are sure to see

Rain is whipping
Reign is whipping
Knowing there’ll be no eluding
Hail is pounding
Hail astounding
Sounding my inner Viking
When they bury me
Flaming at sea
All on shore shall see
All are sure to see

Paying dues
Caught your swampy blues

Seems illogical

Arrived in PA
Just the other day
Na, na, na, Louisiana
Geez Louis… iana, na, na, na

In the thick of it
Up to the neck
Got a grip on it
Dealt a full deck
Got a grip on it

If the fear of butter fingers
… lingers
To be clear
You need fear no longer
… stronger
Got a grip
Got a grip on it
Got a… get a…
Grip on it

LYRICS
Hold on a minute
Don’t throw a fit
We can work things out
We can work things out
Hold on a minute
Don’t throw a fit
No need to scream and shout
We can work things out
Everything will be alright
We’ll get through the darkest night
See things through to the light
Everything will be alright
(It’ll be alright)

Wait just a minute
Hold on a bit
We can work things out
We can work things out
Wait just a minute
Hold on a bit
Hear what it’s about
Here’s what it’s about
Everything will be alright
We’ll get through the darkest night
See things through to the light
Everything will be alright
(It’ll be alright)

bookmark_borderIt Only Hurts When I Laugh

LYRICS
It only hurts when I laugh
The sacrificial calf
On the fire, pouring gas
Better act… and act fast
Is it too soon
For howling at the moon
Open the gate
Why hesitate?

It only hurts when I laugh
People think I may be daft
Pot calls the kettle black
Quite a blow… taken back
Is it too soon
For howling at the moon
Open the gate
Why hesitate?

It only hurts when I laugh
That ain’t all… only half
Bringing on a test of will
Half-empty… can I fill?
Is it too soon
For howling at the moon
Open the gate
Why hesitate?

bookmark_borderShe Won’t Look Back

LYRICS
While growing older
I’m learning a fact of time
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
Times growing bolder
Refusing to heed my whine
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
She’s making funny faces
Moves fast… leaves no traces
Should be clockwise round n’ round
But, she wins the race
Hands down

As I grow older
Figured a fact of time
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
Times growing bolder
Refusing to heed my whine
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
She’s making funny faces
Moves fast… leaves no traces
Should be clockwise round n’ round
But, she wins the race
Hands down

Now that I’m older
Embody the fact of time
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
Times growing bolder
Refusing to heed my whine
She won’t turn back
She won’t turn back
She’s making funny faces
Moves fast… leaves no traces
Should be clockwise round n’ round
But, she wins the race
Hands down

LYRICS
If you haven’t found what you’re looking for
Keep looking
Go round in the sound
Find out “who I am”
Take it up from down
Tighten up the unwound

If in the jam you haven’t jelled
Keep cooking
Go round in the sound
Find out “who I am”
Take it up from down
Tighten up the unwound

If in the song the groove goes wrong
Keep hooking
Go round in the sound
Find out “who I am”
Take it up from down
Tighten up the unwound

LYRICS
Can you see through lead lined walls
Survive stopping the greatest falls
Can you? Will you?
Can you stop a speeding bullet
Hit your chest and live right through it?
Can you? Will you?

Superpowers
That last for hours and hours
Superpowers
That save ours and ours

As the time ticks down
We’re on our own
10, 9, 8… 3, 2, run!

LYRICS
Oh my mind’s about to blow
Thinking back to long ago
There I go
Yes, there I go
(Wissshhh)
I’m…
Traveling back in time
Childhood days
Came out of a haze
There I am standing next to you
Do you remember…
Do you remember, too?
After school and in the pool
Swimming fast into the past
Oh my mind’s about to blow
Thinking back to long ago
There I go
Yes, there I go
(Wissshhh)
I’m…
Traveling back in time

A Tribute to Ikutaro Kakehashi
I happened to be in the midst of recording a MIDI based album when I learned of the passing of Ikutaro Kakehashi:

Ikutaro Kakehashi (梯 郁太郎 Kakehashi Ikutarō  7 February 1930 – 1 April 2017) was an engineer, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Ace Tone, Roland Corporation and ATV, Japanese manufacturers of electronic musical instruments. He was known for his role in the development of Ace Tone and Roland drum machines and the MIDI standard.

Is this really what we wanted to eat
The taste of dirty socks… of stinky feet
Is this really what we wanted to eat

It makes me squirm thinking of eating worm
I mean, we could have had some cake and ice cream
We could have fed the world
We could have listened and tried to learn
Instead our bread has mold
And, the question arises, “Will we grow old?”

Is this really what we wanted to eat
Our neighbors bones and their meat
Is this really where we wanted to go
To where worth is less than slightly zero
Is this really what we wanted to do
Piss on me and crap on you

So, I scream, “we could have had some cake and ice cream”
We could have fed the world
We could have digested… instead… we hurled.
It not too late to anticipate our fate if we don’t participate
In a kinder way, more productive day, importance of what we say
Let’s spread the word of what we’ve heard
Then, maybe instead of getting what we would have deserved
We’ll have a cornucopia of utopia
At least something beyond our dreams
Of the brightest lights and the leanest leans

A cornucopia of utopia
Instead of the rancid we did
A cornucopia of utopia
Instead of the rancid we did

The brightest lights and the leanest leans
A corn-you-copia of utopia
The brightest lights and the leanest leans
A cornucopia of utopia
The brightest lights and the leanest leans
A corn-you-copia of utopia

Well, well, well
I thought I knew you
Well, well, well
Then, you showed me
Well… well…
You showed me hell

It may not have been this way
From the start
But, now you’ve grown dark
With a blackened heart

As time went by
You ceased to try
Then, further on
You grew malevolent
Who knew
Evil would become prevelent

I thought I really knew you before
Now, I can tell you
Tell you for sure
It may not have been this way
From the start
But, now you’ve grown dark
With a blackened heart

Luckily,
I’ve been set free
Hopefully,
Not just me
Maybe someday
You’ll find the way
To let love be the power
The power of our

We can depart
From the blackened heart

LYRICS
What’s got you freaking
Is it your freedom
All your inalienable rights
Not worth the fights
Give them all away
Think of the price
We’ll pay

It won’t be nice
Think of the price
It won’t be nicee
Better think twice

Government banks
And automobile
The public-corporate steal
No thanks
Beware of healthcare
Hippocratic democratic
Hypocrite politic

What’s got you freaking
Loss of free speaking
Afraid to speak your mind
Because of the legal system
Afraid you’ll lose your mind
Because of the legal syndrome
