bookmark_borderThrow Your Clay

LYRICS
Greener pasture in store
Blue sky horizon (eyes on) high
Find a better way for me to throw this clay
Nestle a better vessel
Soul stored for the day

Impurity succumbs to the gravity
Form to the shape of a hairless ape
Dot the “I’s” and lace with grace
Occupy space with a brave face

bookmark_borderFall All Over You (Autumn Equinox)

LYRICS
When the Autumn comes
I fall all over you
There’s not much I can do
It’s the season to fall for you

Become aware there’s something in the air
Make a memory to share
You know we’ve got to let the summer go
Before you know — snow
(Yeah, here/hear we go)

Open up the window
I want to take in some more
One thing’s for sure
Open up the door lore
I want to take in some more
You know let’s go go-go
Out the door and take in some more

bookmark_borderThe Center Of Justice

LYRICS
Building a building
Meant to tear people down
Name’s misleading
There ain’t no justice in this town

All but lost and forgotten
To the core they are rotten

Take some time
And dare to look around
Reason… rhyme?
Ask but can’t be found

Lady liberty
Well, she just can’t see
She blindly
Weighs just to the mighty
(ways to balance the mighty)

Painting a painting
With a thousand words
Champion debating
Melting down their swords

bookmark_borderHeadfirst

LYRICS
In an attempt to quench my thirst
I dove in… headfirst

If you’re going to “go off the deep end”
You’d better go off the deep end
For if you go shallow
You will come to know
Your head is hollow

If shallow is your puddle
And through your life you muddle
Remember:
“Mud spelled backwards is dum”
Dum de dum de dum dum

Eat, drink and sleep
Going deep
Deep, deep, deep
Mental burst
Headfirst

LYRICS
See along the seaside
From where I reside
High above the landslide
Watching the rising tide

When I let the 3rd-eye see
A calm comes over me
Naturally, fell the be

Rise with the sunrise
Searching for surprise
High from enterprise
No matter the number of tries

Along with Venus and Mars
Pass between the stars
Far beyond the wars
In the vision that is ours

Over the rainbow
In a place I didn’t know
Letting the mind grow
We harvest what we sow

LYRICS
In the quest to survive the test
Do you really think it’s best
To forget the rest?

All the world is a stage
Of knowledge
The more you yearn to learn
the more you earn

Your wealth’s in mental health
The more you go the more you know
On with the show

The more you gave the more you save
The more you give the more live
Can’t take it to the grave

In the quest to pass the past
Observe the future coming fast
Facts are sure to last

LYRICS
Difficult to get
Hitting a moving target
Never will forget
Hitting a moving target

Tact in the track
Squeeze the trigger back
Focusing on “I”
With ease score the bull’s eye

Better hedge your bet
Hitting a moving target
Destiny? We’ve met
Hitting a moving target

Trying not to fret
Hitting a moving target
Pull with no regret
Hitting a moving target

bookmark_borderWork

LYRICS
Working smart is a real fine art
Getting harder everyday
… in every way
Job, life will rob… you’re arm they’ll lob
Mourn the turn of your first born

What are you suppose to do
Just trying to get through
How are you suppose to learn
Where you’re suppose to turn

Working hard for the final yard
Getting smarter everyday
… in every way
Robbed by the job… stolen heart throb
No relief any day
… in any way

LYRICS
The older I grow
The more I know
How little I know

Before you grow old
Travel the world
Let you story by told
(Go! Go! Go!)

While you feel young
Find the harmony among
Let your song be sung
(Ohh, ohh, ohh)

Sun rose 1,000 times
Over a 1,000 “I am’s”
We’re in Fortunate Times
(Know so little woe)

The older I grow
The more I know
How little I know

bookmark_borderWatch Out!

LYRICS
Better look where you’re going
Or without knowing
You could be gone
Before too long
Better look where you’re going

Have we all been distracted
Appalled at the way I acted
Did you read the warning label correctly?
“Living life could be deadly”

Do we have “I’s” on both sides of our head
Haven’t heard a word that’s said
Did you read the warning label correctly?
“Living life could be deadly”

Though we can see… walking blindly
Choosing to act unkindly
Did you read the warning label correctly?
“Living life could be deadly”

Better look where you’re going
Or without knowing
You could be gone
Before too long
Better look where you’re going

Watch Out!.mp3

ABOUT THE SONG
Written at the corner of Gay and Church Streets in Chester County, West Chester, PA. When I started writing this song, a police officer that was driving by gave me the “hairy eyeball” instead of paying attention to where he was going. At the same time, a girl was walking across the crosswalk looking at her phone. We almost had one less police officer and one less pedestrian.

LYRICS
Passed the past
Don’t look back
When you’re in the lead
… why concede?

Over your shoulder
A shadow you’ll see
As you grow older
The light you will be
*pure energy*

Passed the past
Last panic attack
When you’re in the lead
… why concede?

Over your shoulder
A shadow you’ll see
As you grow older
The light you will be
*pure energy*

LYRICS
What’s your fate
Volcano of hate
That’s poor taste
Oh, no! The waste
Just can’t wait
Volcano of hate
Destruction eruption

Whirlwind of sin
Tornado of hate
Pinned to “has been”
Human waste
Just can’t wait
Tornado of hate
Destruction rotation

Crush romance
Avalanche of hate
Each and every chance
You participate
Just can’t wait
Avalanche of hate
Smother sister
Smother brother
’til there is no other

LYRICS
What’s that? “You better get back?”
’cause she’s going to get me back
I’m in overtime
… in overtime

Mother Nature’s wrath
Gonna take a bath
Paying for our crime
… in overtime

Harvey and Irma wave a wake
Shake and bake
Another earthquake
What will it take
Mother Nature’s wrath
Gonna take a bath
Paying for our crime
… in overtime

Don’t breathe. No relief.
Eat the dirt. Ozone alert.
Environmental mental thief
Hit the dirt. We’re going nuclear

Not sure of the future
Man vs. Nature

Mother Nature’s wrath
Gonna take a bath
Paying for our crime
… in overtime
