LYRICS
Let’s see if we can salvage the New Age
Newage
Not sewage
Let’s see if we can stop the damage
Newage
Not sewage
You’d think in this day and age
We could figure out how to salvage the damage
That we’ve done
Instead we beat our chests like chimpanzees
Thinking that we’ve won
In this time
Instead of it being mine
I hope it’s yours
I wish you a happy life
If there was ever a time
When the fruit was ripe on the vine
The time is now
If there was ever a time to figure out how
The time is now
Let’s salvage
Less damage
Let’s salvage the damage
Newage instead of sewage
New Age instead of sewage

LYRICS
Hummina hummina hummina
If someone comes up to you on the street
And, tries to give you some discrete… or less than discrete
Tries to give a piece concrete
Evidence
Which is summed up with the hummina hummina hummina
My suggestion
Run
Or, if you want to have some fun
Go ahead and engage
Ask about rosemary and sage
If you are going to rise and ride the tide
You don’t want to feel like you’re being swept away
You want to feel like you have some kind-of control over the day
No hummina hummina hummina along the way
Trying not to say hummina hummina hummina
If you are more interested in knowing the great unknown
Please let your presence be known
Made famous by The Animals
Written by Benjamin / Marcus / Caldwell
Verse 1:
Bm A
Baby, do you understand me now
G F#
Sometimes I feel a little mad
Bm A
Well don't you know that no-one alive can always be an angel
G F#
When things go wrong I seem to be bad
Chorus:
D Bm A
I'm just a soul who's intentions are good
G [N.C.] Bm
Oh Lord please don't let me be misunderstood
[repeat intro (2X)]
Verse 2:
Baby, sometimes I'm so carefree
With a joy that's hard to hide
And sometimes it seems that all I have to do is worry
And then you're bound to see my other side
[repeat chorus]
Bridge:
Bm A [first 3 beats as per intro]
/ / / /
G A G A
If I seem edgy, I want you to know
G A D Bm/F#
That I never mean to take it out on you
G A G A
Life has it's problems and I get my share
G F#
And that's one thing I never mean to do, 'cause I love you
Verse 3:
Oh, oh, oh, baby, don't you know I'm human
Have thoughts like any other one
Sometimes I find myself long regretting
Some foolish thing, some little simple thing I've done
[repeat chorus followed by intro (1X) to fade]
LYRICS
Hello. Goodbye. Hello. Goodbye. Hello, again.
So glad to see you back in heaven again
I don’t know where to begin…
Well, all good dogs go to heaven
I’m beggin’, beggin’, beggin’ (please… on my knees)
Hope and pray you know what to do
Hope and pray you do
When the day comes due, I’ll see you
Wrecks, Toucan and Belvedere
We’ll see you on the other side of the atmosphere
Ria, Duke, Tralfaz, too
We’ll be seeing you in heaven
Written and recorded on October 7 and 30, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I found the basic track on the digital recorded. It must have been left over from the October 7 recording session. Since the name of the album is The New Old, I added some lyrics about Hurricane Sandy. She pretty much re-arranged the old into the new normal. And, though it was a devastating event, there was a silver lining to the storm. It was if God created an eighth day in the week filled with the comfort of music.
LYRICS
When we started to count, we went from 0 to 1
By the way, this was way, way back in the day
Then in the modern day, we found a way
To make music play
Putting bits and bytes to websites
In binary… in fact, back to the very…
0’s and 1’s
Come in from the cold
It’s the new old
Just when you thought out was sold
Come in for some new old
[I can’t get no satisfaction. She’s a daytripper, yeah!]
Can you see
Paper comes from a tree
Moses’ new commandments were carved in some very old stone
Our new condiments were made from mature… more than an instance
Even the telephone, TV and computer come from regurgitated ideas
So, before making a stance…
On creativity…
Before raising fears
Let’s see how much original
Is left in us all
Besides, a zero isn’t much of anything
Let’s try something new… invigorating
Written and recorded on October 7, 2012 in West Chester, PA and is the theme song for the album. It is pretty much a given that we are impacted by the events that have come before us. Instead of trying to avoid it… why not celebrate it?
…credited with 505 confirmed kills of Soviet soldiers….
…accomplished in fewer than 100 days at a time of year… with very short hours of daylight….
…He preferred to use iron sights….
…put a Finnish finish on a Russian Mosin-Nagant….
…highest recorded number of confirmed sniper kills in any major war….
…Fact not folklore….
…Fact a folk lure….
…dressed completely in white camouflage….
…kept snow in his mouth, so that the vapor of his breath would not give him away….
…No scope, no breath….
…No way….
… White Death….
… White Death….
… White Death….
… let us take a shot…
… at changing our age…
… and care a lot…
… about our damage…
… no mirage….
… let us kill kill…
… until….
we are the death of death….
ABOUT THE SONG
The song is a tongue-in-cheek analogy of the famous Finnish sniper that used a Russian Mison-Nagant riffle to kill Russians (becoming the most famous hidden sniper in history.) In the same fashion, what if we tried to kill killing? What if we became the death of death… by not having any humans kill other humans?
