[Upbeat, anthemic rock with driving guitars, pounding drums, handclaps, and big gang vocals. An optimistic, forward-moving chorus that builds into a powerful singalong finale.]
[Intro]
Hey, hey, hey!
Whoa-oh, oh-oh!
Hey, hey, hey!
I’m on my way!
[Verse 1]
I’ve seen the darkness, I’ve felt the rain
I’ve watched the world go round again
Now the morning brings a light
Another chance to get it right
No looking back at yesterday
No wasting time on what they say
I’ve got a dream I can’t ignore
Taking the step means so much more
[Refrain]
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
For the best…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
Come what may…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
[Verse 2]
We’re all just trying to find our place
To leave a little hope and grace
A little kindness, a little truth
A chance to dream like we did in youth
We don’t need riches piled up high
Just open hearts and an open sky
And if we stumble, if we fall
We’ll rise together, one and all
[Refrain]
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
For the best…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
Come what may…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
[Bridge]
No more waiting for a sign
No more standing out of line
Feel the heartbeat, hear the sound
Telling us there’s a way around
If you hear me, sing along
If you feel it, make it strong
Side by side, we’ll find the way
We’re building a better day!
Hey!
Are you ready?
(Hey, hey, hey!)
Are you coming?
(I’m on my way!)
Keep on moving!
(Hey, hey, hey!)
Keep on believing!
(In a better day!)
[Final Refrain]
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
For the best…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
Yes…
(I’m on my way)
Hey, hey, hey!
Come what may…
(Hey, hey, hey)
I’m on my way
(To a better day)
Yes!
(I’m on my way!)
Hey, hey, hey!
(I’m on my way!)
For the best!
(Hey, hey, hey!)
I’m on my way…
(To a better day!)
[Outro]
Hey, hey, hey!
I’m on my way!
Hey, hey, hey!
To a better day!
Whoa-oh, oh-oh!
We’re on our way!
Yes…
We’re on our way!
