About the Song
Adrenaline (also called epinephrine) is a vital hormone and chemical messenger made by your adrenal glands on top of your kidneys. It pours into your blood during fear, stress, or excitement, triggering the “fight-or-flight” response to help you react quickly to danger.

How Adrenaline Affects the Body
Heart rate: Your heart beats faster to push more blood to your muscles.
Breathing: Your airways open up wide so you can take in more air.
Energy: Your body releases stored sugar into your blood for quick power.
Focus: Your brain becomes hyper-alert and sharp.

About the Song: Greenland’s Giant Iceberg Flip: A Dramatic Sign of a Rapidly Changing Arctic

On July 25, 2026, a massive iceberg near Ilulissat, Greenland, dramatically rolled over in the ocean, sending a powerful surge of waves and mist toward the coastline. The spectacular event occurred near the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord on Greenland’s western coast, where enormous icebergs regularly break away from one of the most active glacier systems on Earth.

As the giant block of ice rotated with tremendous force, it revealed a jagged, ancient underside that had been hidden beneath the ocean surface. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported from the resulting waves.

Why Do Giant Icebergs Flip?

Icebergs are naturally unstable structures. They float with roughly 90% of their mass hidden below the waterline, and their shape changes continuously as they melt.

1. Uneven Melting Shifts the Center of Gravity

Icebergs often become unstable because melting does not occur evenly. Warmer ocean water can erode the submerged portion of the iceberg, while sunlight and warmer air melt the upper surface.

As the underwater shape changes, the iceberg’s center of gravity shifts. Eventually, the enormous ice mass becomes unstable and violently rotates until it reaches a new equilibrium.

2. The Ilulissat Region Is an Iceberg Hotspot

The event occurred near the terminus of Sermeq Kujalleq Glacier, one of the fastest-moving glaciers in the world.

This glacier feeds the Ilulissat Icefjord and has historically produced some of Greenland’s largest icebergs. Its rapid flow and frequent calving make the region one of the most dramatic locations on Earth to witness glacier change.

Why This Matters for Climate Change

Iceberg flips are a natural part of the iceberg life cycle, but climate change is altering the conditions that create and accelerate these events.

A Warmer Arctic Means Faster Ice Loss

The Arctic is warming much faster than the global average, causing:

  • Faster glacier flow: Warmer temperatures increase ice loss and can accelerate glacier movement toward the ocean.
  • More frequent calving: As glaciers lose mass, more large icebergs break away.
  • More rapid underwater melting: Warmer ocean waters attack the submerged portions of icebergs, destabilizing them more quickly.
  • Greater instability of ice structures: Rapid melting creates unusual shapes that are more likely to roll over.

Greenland’s ice sheet is now losing hundreds of billions of tons of ice each year, contributing to rising global sea levels. The surrounding Arctic Ocean is also warming rapidly, intensifying the processes that reshape Greenland’s glaciers and icebergs.

The world’s still turning, night and day
Waiting for what we might say
Another challenge comes along
Will we face it, will we be strong?

Blame the weather, blame the tide
Truth is harder to divide
Choices echo through the years
Built from courage, built from fears

[Pre-Chorus]
Stand your ground
(Hold the line)
The future’s built
(One choice at a time)

[Chorus]
Rock and…
(Rise again)
Learn the lesson
(Time and again)

[Refrain]
Rock and…
(Roll over)
Or stand
(And command)

Take responsibility
(For our reality)

[Verse 2]
Storms may come and rivers rise
Smoke may fill familiar skies
Problems don’t just disappear
By pretending they aren’t here

[Bridge]
Rock and roll
(Has always been)
About standing up
(Again and again)

Turn it up
(Not away)
Tomorrow starts
(Today)

[Breakdown]
Responsibility…

Isn’t a burden.

It’s the moment…

You realize…

You can help shape…

The hairless ape.

[Final Chorus]
Rock and…
(Roll over)
Or stand
(To command)

Take responsibility
(For our reality)

Raise your voice
(Make a stand)
The future isn’t built
(By someone else’s hand)

Rock and…

Roll forward…

Toward…

[Outro]
Rock and…
(Roll over)
Or stand
(Damn demand)
… Take a stand!

Role Over?

[Intro]
A role…

Is a responsibility.

A rule…

Role in society.

[Refrain]
Is our role over
(Have we done our bit)
Is our rule over
(Now it’s time to quit)

…quit our bad habitat habit

[Verse 1]
Built a world with endless needs
Growing faster, planting seeds
Taking more than we replace
Leaving footprints on this place

A role was given, a path was shown
A planet shared, a place called home
But progress without reflection
Can create a different direction

[Pre-Chorus]
Look around
(See the signs)
Changing systems
(Changing times)

[Chorus]
Is our role over?
(Or just changing shape?)
Can we recover?
(Can we reshape?)

The rules are shifting
(The game has changed)
A different future
(Is in our range)

[Refrain]
Is our role over
(Have we done our bit)
Is our rule over
(Now it’s time to quit)

…quit our bad habitat habit

[Verse 2]
Habit becomes a way of life
Comfort comes with hidden strife
What seems normal day to day
Can carry costs along the way

Consumption rising, systems strain
Cycles repeat again and again
But awareness can open doors
Toward a balance worth fighting for

[Bridge]
Role over?
(No, evolve)
Rule over?
(Find resolve)

The future asks
(What will we do?)
The answer starts
(With me and you)

[Breakdown]
A role…

Isn’t something we lose.

It’s something…

We choose.

[Final Chorus]
Is our role over
(Have we done our bit)
Is our rule over
(Now it’s time to quit)

Quit our bad habitat habit
(Change the way we live)

Find a new direction
(Find a way to give)

Role over…

Or roll forward…

Choice…

our voice!

[Outro]

Not over…

Just changing…

A new role…

Begins.

Over and Over

[Intro]

[Refrain]
Rolling over
(Over and over)
Forward
(Onward)
The wheels turn
(What will we learn?)

[Pre-Chorus]
Round we go
(Through the flow)
Where we end
(Only time will show)

Over and over
(The story rolls)
Turning pages
(Changing goals)

Here the journey
(Hear the sound)
Keep turning
(Come back around)

[Breakdown]
The wheels turn…

(The wheels turn…)

Feel your heart yearn

[Final Chorus]
Rolling over
(Over and over)
Forward
(Onward)

The wheels turn
(What will we learn?)

Round the corner
(Another view)
Another moment
(Another clue)

[Outro]
Forward…

Onward…

The wheels …
… roll…
In the hole…
(Or in the whole)

Under

[Intro]
Above…

The storm is moving.

Below…

We wait.

Listening…

(For what became of love?)

Above…

(Above…)

[Refrain]
Rollover
(Under the thunder)

The clouds rollover
(While I’m under)
…listen’ to the thunder
(Fighting lightning)

[Verse 1]
Darkened skies begin to form
Energy builds inside the storm
Winds are shifting, pressure falls
Nature’s voice begins to call

Clouds collide across the sky
Electric rivers passing by
Standing still beneath the gray
Watching power roll away

[Pre-Chorus]
Hear the sound
(Feel the ground)
Storms above
(Circling around)

[Chorus]
Under the thunder
(Under the rain)
Waiting quietly
(Through the change)

Lightning flashes
(Through the night)
Revealing moments
(Of hidden light)

[Refrain]
Rollover
(Under the thunder)

The clouds rollover
(While I’m under)
…listen’ to the thunder
(Fighting lightning)

[Verse 2]

Patterns shifting, constantly proving
Energy travels across the land
Following nature’s changing hand

[Bridge]
Clouds rollover
(Thunder calls)
Lightning dances
(Above it all)

Stand beneath it
(Watch and learn)
Feel the power
(As seasons turn)

[Breakdown]
The storm…

Is not the enemy.

Can’t you see?

(It’s you and me)

[Final Chorus]
Rollover
(Under the thunder)

The clouds rollover
(While I’m under)

Listen’ to the thunder
(Fighting lightning)

Waiting for the morning…

(After the warning)

[Outro]
Under…

The thunder…

Still listening…

Still standing.

(Who’s commanding)

The demanding

Back on My Feet

[Intro]
The ground moves…

The world turns…

But standing up…

Still improves.

[Refrain]
Knocked down
(Rolled over)
Bounced back on my feet
(Still alive and complete)

Spun around
(Warmed-over)
But far from defeat
(Back on my feet)

[Verse 1]
Thrown into a changing tide
Lost the balance, lost the ride
Moments came that shook the frame
Nothing stayed exactly the same

Dust it off and find the ground
Listen for that rising sound
One more step, one more try
Looking forward, aiming high

[Pre-Chorus]
Fall apart
(Then rebuild)
Find the strength
(That was concealed)

[Chorus]
Back on my feet
(Standing tall)
After the stumble
(After the fall)

No surrender
(No retreat)
One more rhythm
(One more beat)

[Refrain]
Knocked down
(Rolled over)
Bounced back on my feet
(Still alive and complete)

Spun around
(Warmed-over)
But far from defeat
(Back on my feet)

[Verse 2]
Life can spin a little fast
Future changing from the past
What seemed like an ending scene
Can become a place between

Adaptation, change, and motion
Like a wave upon the ocean
Balance shifts and systems bend
New beginnings start again

[Bridge]
Knocked down
(But not gone)
Turn around
(And carry on)

The strongest sound
(Can come from deep)
When you rise
(After defeat)

[Breakdown]
The question…

Isn’t whether you fall.

The question…

Is whether you care at all.

[Final Chorus]
Knocked down
(Rolled over)
Bounced back on my feet
(Still alive and complete)

Spun around
(Warmed-over)
But far from defeat
(Back on my feet)

[Refrain]
Knocked down
(Rolled over)
Bounced back on my feet
(Still alive and complete)

Spun around
(Warmed-over)
But far from defeat
(Back on my feet)

Back on my feet…

(Back on my feet…)

[Outro]
Still standing…

Still moving…

Still alive.

(We’ll survive!)

The Earth is one big mover
(Look around. It can be found.)

Round and round…

Look around…

It’s all connected…

(All is found)

Getting Barreled

[Intro]
Read the wave…
(How will it behave)
Match the speed…
(Oh, yes indeed)
And disappear
(With no fear)

[Refrain]
Getting barreled
(Tube riding)
Feeling whorled
(So exciting)

Pitted
(Shacked)
Ought to be slotted

[Verse 1]
See the crest begin to curl
Watch the water twist and whirl
Drop in low and find the line
Match the wave and synchronize

[Pre-Chorus]
Inside
(The barrel)
Ride
(The peril)

[Chorus]
Getting barreled
(Under the lip)
Hold your line

Pitted
(Shacked)
Slotted
(Tracked)

[Instrumental]
Getting barreled
(Tube riding)
Feeling whorled
(So exciting)

Pitted
(Shacked)
Ought to be slotted

[Verse 2]
Hollow water overhead
Blue-green walls around your head
The opening narrows as you fly
A fleeting window to the sky

Compressed air begins to blow
Through the opening as you go
Then comes the spit across the face
The ocean throws you from the place

[Bridge]
Tube riding
(Inside the wave)
Timing
(Is what you crave)

Balance
(Against the wall)
One wrong move
(And down you fall)

Match the speed…

Read the shape…

Hold the line…

Wait…
(Anticipate)
Wait…

Now you know

(Go! Go! Go!)

[Final Chorus]
Getting barreled
(Tube riding)
Feeling whorled
(So exciting)

Pitted
(Shacked)
Ought to be slotted

Getting barreled
(Under the lip)
Ride that curl
(Don’t let it slip)

Foam ball
(Along for the ride)
Spit flies
(Outside)

[Outro]
Getting barreled
(Tube riding)
Feeling whorled
(So exciting)

Pitted
(Shacked)
Ought to be slotted

About the Song
Barrel / Tube: The hollow space formed inside a hollow rolling wave.

A surfer must precisely match the speed of the wave to stay underneath the breaking lip without getting caught in the falling water or outrunning the curl.

When a surfer rides inside the tube it is called tube riding or getting barreled. Surfers also use slang terms like getting pitted, shacked, or slotted to describe this exact maneuver.

Key Terms Inside the Tube
The Tube / Barrel: The hollow space formed when the crest of the wave curls completely over the face.
The Foam Ball: The turbulent explosion of white water inside the barrel behind the surfer.
The Spit: The blast of compressed air and water vapor that blows out of the barrel opening as it closes.

Separated

[Intro]
Fact…

Fiction…

(In between)

… Friction!

[Refrain]
Fact and fiction
(Keep ’em separated)
Tact in decision
(Or dreams evaporated)

[Verse 1]
Stories travel, rumors grow
Some are real and some just show
Words can twist and facts can bend
Truth can vanish round the bend

Check the source and check the claim
Look for evidence, name the game
Pause before you take a side
Keep your judgment open wide

[Pre-Chorus]
Truth is found
(Check the proof)
Look around
(Find the truth)

[Chorus]
Keep ’em separated
(Fact from fiction)
Keep ’em separated
(Make the distinction)

Evidence
(From assumption)
Reason
(From reaction)

[Refrain]
Fact and fiction
(Keep ’em separated)
Tact in decision
(Isn’t imitated)

[Verse 2]
A confident voice can still be wrong
A catchy story can travel long
A polished claim can miss the mark
A little doubt can light the dark

[Refrain]
Fact and fiction
(Keep ’em separated)
Tact in decision
(Or dreams evaporated)

[Bridge]
Fact!
(Check it)

Fiction!
(Test it)

[Refrain]
Fact and fiction
(Keep ’em separated)
Tact in decision
(Or dreams evaporated)

Tact in decision
(Think it through)
Careful distinction
(What will you do?)

Fact…

Fiction…

Keep ’em separated…

Until educated.

Under the Bus

[Intro]
When the wheels are turning…

Keep on learning.

[Refrain]
Thrown
(Under the bus)
Known
(Nevertheless)

It’s important for us
(Not to rollover)
We must recover

[Verse 1]
When the pressure starts to rise
Pointing fingers, alibis
Passing blame from hand to hand
Trying hard to make a stand

Thrown beneath the wheels of doubt
Waiting for a way back out
But the truth can still remain
Even underneath the blame

[Pre-Chorus]
Roll away
(The easy choice)
Stand and face it
(Find your voice)

[Chorus]
Under the bus
(But still alive)
Under the weight
(Still we survive)

Knocked down hard
(But not erased)
Find the ground
(And find your place)

Under the bus
(That’s not the end)
Rise again
(And make amends)

[Refrain]
Thrown
(Under the bus)
Known
(Nevertheless)

It’s important for us
(Not to rollover)
We must recover

[Verse 2]
So someone takes the fall
To protect the greater all
Made up blame that’s manufactured
While the evidence is captured

[Bridge]
Thrown
(Under the bus)
Known
(Nevertheless)

Turn around
(Recover)
Stand your ground
(Discover)

What went wrong
(What went right)
What we learned
(From the fight)

[Breakdown]
[Beat drops to bass and muted guitar]
You can blame…
(Evade the shame?)

You can hide…

You can roll over…

Or…

You can discover.

[Final Chorus]
Thrown
(Under the bus)
Known
(Nevertheless)

It’s important for us
(Not to rollover)
We must recover

Under the bus
(But still alive)
Under the pressure
(Still we rise)

Thrown down hard
(But not defeated)
Back on our feet
(Still undefeated)

[Outro]
Don’t roll over…

Recover…

Get back up…

And keep moving…

(Improving)

Over the Edge

[Intro]
Is the hardest step…

The one away from the edge?

Out from under…

Back on your feet…

Now choose where you stand.
(And where we land)

[Refrain]
Out from under
(The bus)
So much better
(For us)

Now, careful
(Up on the ledge)
Forego going
(Over the edge)

[Verse 1]
Climb out from the wheels below
Find your balance, take it slow
Dust and danger left behind
Keep your footing, clear your mind

One more step and then you see
There is still a choice to be
Lean too far and lose your ground
Step back… turn yourself around

[Pre-Chorus]
Easy does it
(Watch your feet)
Find your balance
(Keep the beat)

[Refrain]
Out from under
(The bus)
So much better
(For us)

Now, careful
(Up on the ledge)
Forego going
(Over the edge)

[Verse 2]
One more push, another shove
Abandoning all but love
… recovery can start
With a steady hand and heart

[Bridge]
Over?
(No!)

The edge?
(Not yet!)

Take a breath
(And step back)

Regain your balance
(Stay on track)

[Breakdown]
The ledge is real…

The choice – the deal…

Careful…

After all…

(Who wants to fall?)

[Final Chorus]
Out from under
(The bus)
So much better
(For us)

Now, careful
(Up on the ledge)
Forego going
(Over the edge)

Don’t go over
(Not today)
Find your balance
(Find your way)

Back from the ledge
(Back from the brink)
Take another step
(Stop and think)

Out from under
(The bus)
Standing stronger
(That’s us)

[Outro]
Out from under
(The bus)
So much better
(For us)

Now, careful
(Up on the ledge)
Forego going
(Over the edge)

You Moved Me

[Intro]
You can’t see…

(It’s too “clearly”)

Came as light

(… changing day n’ night)

Energy of what’s to be

[Refrain]
OK
(Now I hear you say)
You moved me
(It’s plain to see)

Obviously
(You moved me)

[Verse 1]
Leaving liquid, taking flight
Carrying energy out of sight
You can’t see it
(But it’s there)
You can’t hold it
(In the air)

[Chorus]
You moved me
(From the ocean to the sky)
You moved me
(As the water molecules fly)

You moved me
(And the atmosphere knows)
You moved me
(Where the energy flows)

[Verse 2]
Rain comes down upon the ground
Energy has traveled all around
What looked like an ordinary day
Held a hidden transfer on the way

[Bridge]
One kilogram
(Watch it go)
Two point four five
(Megajoules in the flow)

[Breakdown]
[Minimal Beat, Soft Piano, Deep Bass]
You moved me…

Not just sea.

Energy moved… we

That’s the part…

You cannot see.

[Final Chorus]
OK
(Now I hear you say)
You moved me
(It’s plain to see)

Obviously
(You moved me)

[Outro]
OK
(Now I hear you say)
You moved me
(It’s plain to see)

Obviously
(You moved me)

Energy…
(Gone astray)

Energy…
(Gone outta the way)
The say…
(Energy)

About the Song
You probably think of the water cycle as a simple process:

Evaporation → clouds → rain

But there is something hidden inside that cycle: energy.

Every time water evaporates, enormous amounts of energy move from one place to another. As climate change warms the oceans and atmosphere, this energy-transfer system is becoming more powerful—and you may see the consequences right outside your back door.

When a water molecule changes from liquid to vapor, it takes energy with it. That energy is called latent heat.

Approximately:
1 kilogram of evaporated water = about 2.45 megajoules of energy transported into the atmosphere.

That is energy you cannot see.

Zap

[Intro]
One moment…

Nothing.

Then—

Zap!

(Did it wake you from your nap?)

[Refrain]
Hit me like a ton of bricks
(Thick pricks)
It was just like that
(Zap!)

Almost knocked me over
(But I recovered)
Recover
(Discover)
Recover

[Verse 1]
Didn’t see it coming down the line
Didn’t have a warning sign
One small spark, a sudden shock
Knocked the rhythm off the clock

Caught my balance, found the floor
Took a breath and asked for more
What can shake you can awake
What you learn from it can shape

[Pre-Chorus]
Shockwave
(Feel it)
Breakthrough
(See it)

Stand up
(Get up)
Recover
(Discover)

[Chorus]
Zap!
(There it goes)
Flash!
(That’s how it shows)

Almost knocked me over
(But I recovered)
Recover
(Discover)
Recover

Find your balance
(And rock and roll)

[Verse 2]
Feelin’ change arrive with force
Sending the force off course
Hope the shock can clear the haze
Turn confusion into ways

It was just like that
(Zap!)

Almost knocked me over
(But I recovered)
Recover

For the Love of It

[Intro]
Why?

Why do we do it?

For the money?

For the fame?

(No!)
Know…
Just because we love it!

[Refrain]
Why?

Enjoyment
(Is what I meant)
For the love of it

Oh, oh, yeah
(That’s for sure)
Pure…

Pick up the guitar, turn it loud
Play another song and lose the crowd
No need for a reason, no need for a plan
Just let the rhythm take your hand

Because it feels right
Why?
(Why?)
Because you all shine the light

For the moment
(For the sound)
For the feeling
(Going round)

Shout it out:
(For the love of it)
Enjoyment
(Is what I meant)
For the love of it

Oh, oh, yeah
(That’s for sure)
Pure…
(Love of it)

[Verse 2]

Fun can be its own reward in the game
When the thing you do makes your spirit fit
Sometimes you do it simply for the love of it

(For the love of it)
Sing it!
(For the love of it)

About the Song

How Lapse-Rate and Ice–Albedo Feedbacks Couple to Create a Powerful Self-Reinforcing Warming Loop

The Two Dominant Drivers of Arctic Amplification

Arctic amplification is not produced by a single climate feedback. It emerges from the interaction of several processes that redistribute, trap, and amplify energy within the Arctic climate system.

Two of the most important are the lapse-rate feedback and the ice–albedo feedback. They operate through different physical mechanisms, but they are tightly coupled:

Lapse-Rate Feedback → Traps Heat Near the Surface

Ice–Albedo Feedback → Converts More Sunlight Into Heat

Together, they create a reinforcing loop:

Warming → Atmospheric Stabilization → Surface Heat Retention → Ice and Snow Loss → Lower Albedo → Greater Solar Absorption → More Warming

This coupling helps explain why the Arctic can warm substantially faster than the global average.

1. Lapse-Rate Feedback: The Primary Atmospheric Amplifier

The Arctic atmosphere behaves very differently from the atmosphere of the tropics.

In the warm tropics, intense solar heating produces strong convection. Warm air rises, expands, mixes vertically, and transports energy high into the atmosphere. This vertical mixing helps distribute surface heating through a deep atmospheric column, where energy can ultimately be radiated to space.

The Arctic atmosphere is often much more stable.

During periods of strong surface cooling—especially over snow- and ice-covered surfaces—cold, dense air can accumulate near the ground while warmer air remains above it. This creates a temperature inversion, in which temperature increases with height rather than decreasing.

The result is a strongly stratified atmosphere with limited vertical mixing.

When greenhouse gases and other processes add energy to the Arctic system, that energy is therefore more readily retained near the surface rather than rapidly redistributed upward by convection.

This produces a critical asymmetry:

Tropical warming → strong vertical mixing

Arctic warming → weak vertical mixing and enhanced near-surface warming

The lapse-rate feedback therefore changes how efficiently the Arctic atmosphere can respond to additional radiative energy.

As the Arctic warms, the vertical temperature structure changes. The characteristic lapse rate—the rate at which temperature changes with altitude—affects the amount of infrared radiation escaping to space. Because the Arctic surface and lower atmosphere can warm disproportionately, the region’s radiative response differs substantially from that of warmer, more convective regions.

The result is an atmospheric environment particularly favorable to near-surface warming and Arctic amplification.

2. Ice–Albedo Feedback: The Solar Amplifier

The lapse-rate feedback is only part of the story.

The Arctic is covered by highly reflective surfaces—especially snow and sea ice—that normally reflect a substantial fraction of incoming sunlight back toward space.

Ice and snow therefore act as a planetary-scale solar shield.

But warming begins to remove that shield.

As snow and ice melt, they expose darker surfaces:

Bright snow and ice → dark ocean and land

Dark surfaces absorb much more solar radiation than bright, reflective surfaces.

That additional absorbed energy warms the surface and surrounding environment, which promotes additional melting.

The loop becomes:

Warming → Ice/Snow Loss → Lower Albedo → More Solar Absorption → More Warming

This is the classic ice–albedo feedback.

Unlike the lapse-rate mechanism, which primarily alters the vertical distribution and radiative behavior of atmospheric energy, the ice–albedo feedback changes the amount of incoming solar energy absorbed by the surface.

The two mechanisms therefore attack the climate system from different directions.

3. The Coupling: When Two Feedbacks Reinforce Each Other

The real significance emerges when the feedbacks are considered together.

The lapse-rate feedback helps concentrate warming near the Arctic surface.

The ice–albedo feedback increases the amount of solar energy absorbed by that same surface.

That creates a powerful coupling:

Greenhouse Forcing

Atmospheric Stability / Lapse-Rate Effects

More Near-Surface Heat Retention

Warmer Surface

Snow and Ice Loss

Lower Surface Albedo

More Solar Energy Absorbed

Additional Surface Warming

Further Snow and Ice Loss

The result is not simply two independent feedbacks operating side by side.

It is a coupled amplification system.

(Rap it up)
Let it roll
(Feel the soul)

Find the sound
(That’s been found)

Words wound
(Sound found)
That’s what’s up
(Wrapped)

Tight
(See the light)

Rapped…

Words wound…

Sound found…

That’s what’s up.
