bookmark_borderSure Thing

LYRICS
If ever there was a time
For a sure thing
This would be the time
To bring
Make it yours
Make it mine
’cause this is a time for a sure thing

I’d like to take the time to say
This is a good day

If ever there was a time
For a sure thing
Let’s see what we can bring

Let’s get it on
Let’s have begun

Let’s bring everything

If we can raise praise…
Please may we raise the praise

Now, give it up

Give it up
Give it over to the sure
I can see what She can bring
I can see… eternity
I can see we can be

Bring on the sure thing

bookmark_borderMeaning Of Must

LYRICS
I look to my right
There’s an angel on my shoulder
Sitting in the light
I look to my left
There’s a devil on the other
But, She ain’t as deft

Chorus
Will it be a battle
Love Vs. Lust
Will it shake n’ rattle
The meaning of must

Then, She says to the angel
“Do you want to fight?”
The angel glows bright in flight
Rising above causing Her to fall

Chorus

bookmark_borderAfter You

LYRICS
I’m coming at you
%$#* the vengeance
I’m coming at you with repentance

Sure, someday you’ll pay
But, it doesn’t have to be my way
I’m more than happy

The future’s your own destiny
It’s not up to me
Choose your own destiny

I’m coming at you
%$#* the vengeance
I’m coming at you with repentance

There’s no need to be defensive
This is all meant for our own good
If we would have just done what we could
Then we wouldn’t be in the dilemma
A little more Dalai Lama
A little less crusade
Would bring the aid

I’m coming after you
%$#* the vengeance
I’m coming after you with repentance

Every life comes to an end
Will your soul ascend…
On Judgement Day
When justice comes your way

I’m coming after you
There’s not much you can do
I’m diligent
Not violent
Gotta get the repentance through

bookmark_borderCan Do

LYRICS
If you are living in fear
Thinking the end is near
Let it be forgot
’cause it’s not
But, can’t you see the tragedy
Living in slow, lingering misery

There could come the day when you pray
The End is near
But, for now there’s nothing to fear

So, if we can steer clear
We can see through tragedy
We’ve got to see it
We’ve got to do it
Follow through
Me and you… let’s do!

We can make every day a little brighter
We can make love a little tighter
We can do it if we choose
I don’t think anyone would rather lose?

bookmark_borderOut Of Touch

LYRICS
You know that you are out of touch
Does it bother you much?

For way too long
You’ve been going wrong
(going, going, going, gone)
You’re out of touch

Are you out of touch
Does it bother you much

You sit and rap
You call that rap
You call that crap?
You try to rhyme
But, it doesn’t work… most of the time

You’re out of touch
Way too much
Then, again
Way too often

Check out
Outside of your shell
Out of your living hell

You’re way out of touch
Does it bother you much?

Have you heard the news
You’re giving them the blues
With your lack of comprehension
Your lack of attention
Your lack of satisfaction

You’re out of touch
Does it bother you much?

LYRICS
Looking around me, I must confess…
I must confess
We’ve made a mess
Focusing to see, the giant mess…
A giant mess
We need address

Chorus
We’re clogging up and hogging up
’till we fail the test
We’re chocking up… lack of mopping up
’till the rest ain’t left

Asking around me, I try to digest
I try to digest
Why not the best?
Trying to see, why we digress
Why we digress
We could care less

LYRICS
When you lookout, lookout, lookout
From behind your eyes
Is it any… surprise?!?!

Got to get up, get up, get up
And, rise

When you stand up, stand up, stand up
For what you believe
You will bring… relief
Surmise — rise!

Got to get up, get up, get up
And, rise

When you speak out, speak out, speak out
About injustice
You raise consciousness
A prize for those that rise

Got to get up, get up, get up
And, rise

bookmark_borderOwn Worst Enemy

A song inspired by a friend’s Facebook post:

So, 88-98% of corn, cotton (cotton oil–as in what a lot of potato chips are cooked in), canola oil, and soybean crops grown are genetically engineered. About 80% of the crops are to feed livestock. So what evolution has taken 3 billion years to create, humankind can destroy in 40 years. Maybe that’s the plan, to kill off our own kind to revert back to the beginning, with a little plastic and holes in the ozone as a special bonus. Kudos, Homo sapiens. We’ve really “outdone” ourselves.

LYRICS
What is it that I walk upon?
I wish we had the insight to look on and on and on
And, we found the ground
Underneath our feet
Are we going to be our own defeat?

What is that that I breath
Has the air gone up in thin air
Is there something more than just our air in there
What is it we breath
Are we our own disease?

Will we beat
Into defeat
Will we beat
Our own defeat

What is that in our food
Is it any good
What we eat
Are we our own defeat?

I don’t think we can cheat Mother Nature
It’s us we beat into defeat

We’re going to beat ourselves into defeat
And, I would say it’s time to change the seat
This game of musical chairs is going nowhere
I don’t want to be the last one standing
It won’t be any fun if I’m the only one that does remain
It might even drive you insane

LYRICS
I’m comin’ at…
I’m comin’ at ya’ll
Coming to you all
Digital

Packed as zeros and ones
Through the bandwidth it runs
Listen to it run

In one end
Runs out the other end
Can’t be sent digital
Not at all
When it comes out the other end
If you want the message to send
You got to travel through the air
To your ear
So, you can hear

You can’t send music through space
Better off being digital in space
But, here in the atmosphere
If you want to hear
Hear the music play
They say,
You got to get through the air
You got to get to the ear to hear

If you want to move love
Move love

Now, we’re getting there
Through the air
I can see you can hear

Move love
If you want to move love from here to there
You’ve got to get through air

Move love

Transform to digital from digital to digital from digital
Move love

We’re moving love

Birth Of Earth.mp3

LYRICS
Do you think when God was giving birth to the Earth
That maybe, maybe, maybe
It was like having a baby
Oh, baby

Or, maybe it was more like getting sick
Quick!
Grab a bucket

Do you think when God was giving birth to the Earth
That maybe, maybe, maybe
It was like having a baby
Oh, baby

Or, maybe it was more like taking a crap, shoot!
A crap-shoot
Roll the dice (on paradise)

Do you think when God was giving birth to the Earth
That maybe, maybe, maybe
It was like having a baby
Oh, baby

Imagine She gave birth in Her own image
I imagine

Dear Mrs. Almighty,
You’re the proud Mother Of Humankind
