LYRICS
Does anybody care that it isn’t fair
Sometimes somebody’s gotta say
It really shouldn’t be this way

The police lying about their crimes
While they are trying to silence mimes
It really shouldn’t be this way

So you want to start over
Do it all over again
Push reset without regret
It really shouldn’t be this way

So, It really shouldn’t be this way
We hoped to never see this day
When people enjoy causing dismay
It really shouldn’t be this way

LYRICS
What did you expect
Emergency eject?

It keeps on coming
You know it keeps on coming

Why do they reject
The real suspect?

It keeps on coming
You know it keeps on coming

Humankind’s neglect
Of the object

It keeps on coming
You know it keeps on coming

If you fall, just call
If you stumble, tumble or fumble the ball
Anything at all

LYRICS
Sometimes all you need is some good notes
When words fail, music sparks
Keep strumming 88

Let’s go
Into the flow

And, a picture tells a thousand words
Making sense of all the absurds

Sometimes all you need are some good notes
Hark! Music spark… let’s sail
Strumming, humming… it’s not too late

Let’s go
Into the flow

HOW TO PLAY THE GUITAR PART

bookmark_borderKeep On Going

You say you want another tie-dye day
Don’t want the feeling to ever go away

I want to keep on going
Sense I’m on the path to knowing

Now I’m working on something to say
Something to move us… change our way

I want to keep on going
Sense I’m on the path to knowing

I believe the day is today
That the false opinion can sway

I want to keep on giving
Sense I’m on the path to loving
I want to keep on going
Sense I’m on the path to knowing

Wondering where you are
Do you find it quite bizarre

You’ve been given birth
On Earth

Traveling oh so far
Just to get near this star

Ohhhh… let it shine

LYRICS
How come you’re just sitting there
All dolled-up
With a silly grin above your chin?

Living from day to day
Living in a positive way

Somewhere in a parallel world
There’s someone getting young
TO mirror growing old
So while the song can be sung…
Pray. Play. Say….

Living from day to day
Living in a positive way

What a lucky lad
When you look back
At all you had
What a lucky lad

Chorus
And, they all join in
With the words you’ve given
Make them sing and shout
Get the words out

I suppose
When it comes to prose
Nothing you lack
Please give a dose
… a word attack

Learn n’ love… hunker
At Bob’s Country Bunker
Enjoy the atmosphere
Memories to hold dear

It’s dawning on me
That it’s sunset at Fest
May I suggest
You hold it dearly

What?
Up from Who Hill
At the Azzoles?
Keep going still…
Just past the Roost… Until

All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her
All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her

We’re off to see the Wizard

Unless there is some sort of legal clause

All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her
All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her

If your life’s in debt
It’s a sure bet
The Wicked Witch will make you squirm and twitch

All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her
All we owe, all we owe, we owe to her

Dorothy, you can bet your ass

LYRICS
This is a test. It’s a protest test.
For the next 2 minutes and 32 seconds…
This station will conduct a protest test on the nation

This is a protest song
And, it won’t take you long
To realize… it’s a protest song

I must confess
This… is a protest song

When you’re wrong, you’re wrong
Now, it’s a protest song

Come on! Sing along!
It’s a protest song

Soon we’ll be knowing
Knowing as we’re growing
Flowing with the protest song

This is only a test
In the event of a real emergency, check your Constitution

ABOUT THIS SONG
Chords — Capo 2

E A D A E

This is another song inspired by a police officer that stopped us from playing music on the courthouse steps. Ironically, she couldn’t warn us about a noise violation because the traffic was too loud.

Someone wrote into the YouTube channel and asked: “What do bongos have to do with freedom of speech?”

The answer:
From the First Amendment Center’s “A Teachers Guide to Freedom Sings” —
“This teacher’s guide to music censorship over the past 50 years is intended to illustrate to students that the First Amendment doesn’t just protect the speech of the press and of politicians. It also protects music, dance, theater, poetry and film. In fact, it protects all creative expression that gives life flavor.”

Example from National Paralegal College —
“A number of prominent musicians decide to get together and perform a song which is clearly meant to convey their lack of support for a military action currently underway. The performance will be afforded the protection of the First Amendment.”

LYRICS
As Fall falls upon us
We start to reminisce
Thinking past the present
To the things we miss

Looking back
We’ve been acting like cavemen
As a matter of fact
Worse… Barbarians

As Spring springs up on us
Thoughts start to surface
Thinking beyond the present
To things we won’t miss

Looking ahead
In my head, there’s a vision
Without tread
On our Constitution
