LYRICS
One crow, two crow
Three crow, four
Don’t really need any more
For sure…
It’s a murder

She use to love me
Now she kills me
She use to love me
No thrills… sheeeze
Sheeeee’s killin’ me

Caw, caw, caw
Left in awe
Slapped stupid
$%ck cupid!
Sheeeze…
Sheeeee’s killin’ me

Five crow, six crow,
seven crow, more
Getting hard to endure
For sure…
It’s a murder

You made the ghost happen
Now, the ghost lives on

ABOUT THE SONG

D6 Esus Em

This song started, when a friend (hosting a show in Ardmore, Pennsylvania) asked the artists to write a song about murder for the Valentine’s month of February. So, I wrote this song as a sort-of ironic metaphor like simile about domestic violence. If you are a victim of spousal abuse, it may happen in a variety of ways. Inevitably, it will happen over time. To put it another way — If one crow shows up, what is it? How many crows need to show up, before it’s a gathering of crows? What do you call a gathering of crows?

USGS:

Animal Congregations… What Do You Call a Group of Crows?
Crows = A murder

PBS:

Crows are members of the Corvidae family, which also includes ravens, magpies, and blue jays. Loud, rambunctious, and very intelligent, crows are most often associated with a long history of fear and loathing. They are considered pests by farmers trying to protect their crops and seedlings. Many people fear them simply because of their black feathers, which are often associating them with death. But research demonstrated in A Murder of Crows proves crows are actually very social and caring creatures, and also among the smartest animals on the planet.

LYRICS
Oh, can’t you see
It’s coming to me
Oh, please
Just let me be
Divine Inspiration
Is my temptation
Temptation’s mine
Inspiration’s divine

Oh, can’t you see
If you’d let me be
Being free
Letting me be me
Sublime intervention
With divine intention
Intervention sublime
Intention divine

LYRICS
As you go out in the big wild world
My thoughts are with you
As you grow from young through old
My thoughts are with you

If Ideas are too complex… if ideas do perplex
My thoughts are with you
If you feel as though you’re living under a hex
My thoughts are with you

I’d be more than willing to lend my brain
I’d be more than happy to help explain
It might even be fun… and entertain
Or, if we’re lucky… benefit humanity a bit

Whether a whale under slaughter
Or, parent of dead daughter
Whether deaf in a life of silence
Or, victim of domestic violence
My thoughts are with you

LYRICS
So, is it getting…
Getting hard to tell,
If we’re livin’…
Livin’ in hell?
Oh, well,
Oh, well,
I feel swell.

Chorus:
Oh, well…
Oh, well,
Oooooh, well,
I’m feeling swell.

And, you can’t…
Can’t stand the smell,
Yeah,
That part’s easy to tell,
Oh, well.
Oh, well.
I feel swell.

It obvious,
Obvious we fell, fell, fell,
We fell,
Oh, well.
Oh, well.
I feel swell.

They’re trying to sell, sell, sell,
Trying to sell the closing bell,
Oh, well.
Oh, well.
I feel swell.

So, if you’re feeling…
Feeling swell,
Come on! Let out a yell,
“I feel swell!”
“I’m feel swell,
Oh, well,
I’m feel swell.”

Do As I Am Told MP3

Your eyes
Are so steely cold
You think
I should do as told
As long
As you are talking
So long
’cause I am walking

You get
What you deserve
Your soul
Will not preserve

You’re mad
Angry and mean
You’re mad
A nightmarish dream
You’re mad
Insane
You don’t know
What you mean
No know
Do you know
You’re that mean?

Can anyone tell me
How did we wind up here?
How did we wind up
Wind up here
Why didn’t anyone steer?
Well, how did we wind up
Wind up
That’s not exactly clear
It’s what we did fear
Now, oh dear
We can’t see clear
We can’t see the light
It’s dark
The darkest night
Is there something bright
How did we wind up here
Exactly what we did fear

With these junkyard dogs
All fat hogs

Nobody knows
No one knows

Just because
Now, all is was
Nobody knows
Nobody knows

Just because
All that is… was.

Nobody knows

The Earth did quake
And, demons shake
Nobody knows

And, everything that is
Turns to was
Just because

The Earth did quake and shake
You take, take, take
