LYRICS
They set out for 3 hours
Sort-of short for seaborne tours
They set out for 3 hours
Ended up with a lifetime of horrors
Such is the fate (of Gilligan)
Such is the fate (of Mary Ann)

If I’m stranded on an island with you
Don’t know what I’d do
I’d leave that part up to you
Maybe distill a ‘lil gin
Then
Let the dancing begin
All the while playing our hearts away
Making beautiful music all night and day

Youth be gold. We’d never grow old.
Just for fun
Maybe distill a ‘lil rum
Maintaining a dance continuum

You’re as old as you feel
And, I am
Unconceal the real deal
Live life while you can

Naked. Swinging from trees.
Begging God we please

LYRICS
As sure as our lives are long
We’ve got to… got to get along
In numbers is our strength
Let’s get strong

There is right and wrong
Don’t let “Done Me Wrong” by your only song
Give flight to the might of right
And, it won’t be long
Let’s get strong

ABOUT THIS SONG

Em / G

Written and recorded on August 1, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Daniel — Guitar, Vocals

The song has to do with my ancestors, King Duncan of Scotland and the Armstrongs. One side of my family is related to King Duncan. He was murdered. The other side of my family cut down trees making it look like the forest was storming the castle in revenge of the murder (as described in Shakespeare’s Macbeth: Act V. Scene III.) The clan was named Armstrong and given a coat-of-arms symbolizing the event.

LYRICS
Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking the all in
The best that you can

Taking the all in
No need of a place to begin
More like a sponge… near infinite points on the fringe

Taking the all in
No need of a place to end
More like a circle or cycle
Your future’s right ’round the bend

Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking you all in
That best that we can

LYRICS
Outrageous. Gorgeous. But, not dangerous.

No need to be afraid. You can approach.
Reach out. No need to fear you’ll encroach.

Put your ear to the atmosphere
And, hear what you will see
Put your eye to your mind
Hear what is meant by one-of-a-kind

Outrageous. Gorgeous.
O.G.
Oh, gee

LYRICS
Where would we be without the hives and the trees?
Where would we be without the birds and the bees?
What would you do without the innocence of children?
What would you do without the memory of been?

Do you think you’d miss a cool rain’s kiss?
Would you be remiss… speechless?

ABOUT THE SONG
Capo 5
A (less C#, add A, add F#)
A / D

Written and recorded on July 24, 2012 at Marsh Creek State Park, Chester County, Pennsylvania. For quite sometime, I have been conducting a study on deforestation of the Earth. While writing the song, I noticed the sun shining through the leaves of the tree… like is was winter time; however, it is summer. Then, a couple of small children walked up to me and said, “Thank you guitar man.” What would the world be like without trees? What would the world be like without the innocence of children?

LYRICS
’cause there is something about you
that makes me want to sing
’cause there is something about you
that makes me want to dance

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The uplift of your riff. The glimmer of your I.

’cause there is something about you
that makes me everything
’cause there is something about you
that makes me risk a chance

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The gift of your lift. The answer to my why.

Wonder if I can do it again?

It will just happen

LYRICS
You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve seen
Medicine Men applying the Love Remedy
You wouldn’t believe the things I’ve been
Girls dressing my gender before I get to see
Taking me on the road of hilarity

Oh, oh, yeah Da hummina hummina yeeha
Ha, ha, hee n’ a razamanaza
Takin’ jibber jazz

Taking the Bear for a walk
Listening to the people play
Listening to the Jibber Jazz talk
Wishing we could stay stay stay
Flying overhead – the people hawk
Listening to us pray in our own way
Getting 72 hours in a day

Band and band
Cooperating
Hand in hand
Man and woman
cohabiting
Gland in gland

Rage in front of the main stage
With a tripping hippie menagerie
Dance the night away
’till the blue alert sends darkness astray

Writing Music During a Heat Wave

LYRICS
chorus:
I’m melting, melting, melting
Literally, melting
My skin is smoldering
My eyes are dry
I’m melting

how much can a human endure
We’re about to find out
(That’s for sure)

If your lips aren’t too dry
Can you shout it out?
(Come on. Give it a try)

Human induced climate change
An experiment
in our ability
(in our “are” ability)
To re-arrange

Restore
The natural order

Neutral nature
The Balancing Queen
Neutral nature
Is never mean

If you were seeing
What the pollution is doing
You’d quit that habit

If you were aware
Of what’s in your air
You’d stop breathing

Lance the invincible
Tackle the impossible

LYRICS
Ya know
I hate to sit here
And, watch people
Give their money away

No, no… please not today

They’ll swallow your quarters
They’ll swallow your time
Nothing to leave our sons or daughters (behind)
Is a generational crime

Ya know
I have a fit sitting here
Watching people
Piss their money away
Oh, no, no… please not today

Getting cheated and gypped
In every which way
Nothing but bruise and slaughter
Humane? Ill equipped

I’m whistling with you
I’m smiling at you
Irresistible
The feeling surrounds you
Quintessential
To be the Queen Bee

If you strive for the hive
We’ll do more than survive
We’ll thrive

For those who want to derail
Take our train from the tracks
Exhale
Relax

Less the swarm harm
Try to chill your will
Stand still
Don’t sound the alarm
After all, what is your aim? To tame?

No need to wait
Toss out the hate
No more. No more.
