LYRICS
Aiming right at me
Got me in her sights
The future is sure
The passage of rites
Along the way
Bop and sway
At every chance
Dance
[D A D Jig Jam]

Blinding… I can’t see
Caught in her headlights
The future for sure
The passage of rites
Along the way
Bop and sway
At every chance
Dance
[D A D Jig Jam]

Power of nature
Cold reality bites
The future endure
The passage of rites
Along the way
Bop and sway
At every chance
Dance
[D A D Jig Jam]

LYRICS
Why wad it up
And throw it away
Why give it up
There’s a better way
It’s a beautiful day!

All fed up
Are you in dismay?
Give it up
There’s a better way
It’s a beautiful day!
It’s a beautiful day!

The future’s staring eight at us
It’s our future we face
What’s known for sure
Our present will pass
The pace
Outlast
Focus
Make haste

LYRICS
Hey, hey, Mama!

Come and take my hand
If you want to understand
Do you want to take a stroll
And, get to know rock n’ roll?

Come to understand
The land…
Of music
Make it dense
Make it thick

(Wanna a whole lotta love? reprise)

Do you want to take a stroll
Through the land of rock and roll
Do you want to get through to the other side?
Then, let’s take a ride
Let’s ride the tide
On the crest of the wave
Soundwave

That’s a good way to stave off starvation of your soul
With rock n’ roll

(screaming fade out)

LYRICS
Yes, I know exactly what you said
It has penetrated my head
I get it

Ya, I get it

Do I appear to be thick as a brick?
I beg your pardon
That’s not me
I can see

Yes, I get it
And, no… I didn’t forget it
I got it
Long before you came into the picture
For sure
I’ve already gotten it
Now, you cause the present to be a blur
Let’s look into the future
’cause I get it

LYRICS
From across the street… thundering applause
Then, a yell from a junk
Bring on the funk

Life’s your stage
Don’t act your age
Life’s our stage
Unlock your cage

Sometimes it’s best when the song ends
Giving rise to the tide… the audience begins

Clap your hands
Whistle and shout
Let love’s emotion out

[ruckus takes place]

Sometimes the feat of the street
Posses your beat
You don’t wanna fade out
Rather end with a bang
No, don’t wanna fade out [fake fade out]
Want this song to be sang
Sing, sang, sung

The miles of smiles riles
Imagination
Creation
Salvation
Stimulation

ABOUT THIS SONG
Capo 2
Am
Am / C
Am / G

Written and recorded September 14, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The song started off being inspired by an old Blondie song on the radio, “Call Me”. Then, while I was writing the guitar part, an unexpected round of applause started from across the street. Next, I was recording the vocals inside the cab of the mobile recording studio… right when it was time to sing “Sometimes the feat of the street posses your beat”… a couple kids caused a severe banging on the vehicle. There is nothing like playing and creating music… especially when there is audience participation.

There’s a lot going on here
There’s a lot going on right here (right now)

Understanding
Am I being clear
Demanding
Causing some to fear
Unable to take it in
Confusion confusing
Confusing confusion

Find the mirror
Looking down from above
Eliminate terror
Shining the light of love

LYRICS
They set out for 3 hours
Sort-of short for seaborne tours
They set out for 3 hours
Ended up with a lifetime of horrors
Such is the fate (of Gilligan)
Such is the fate (of Mary Ann)

If I’m stranded on an island with you
Don’t know what I’d do
I’d leave that part up to you
Maybe distill a ‘lil gin
Then
Let the dancing begin
All the while playing our hearts away
Making beautiful music all night and day

Youth be gold. We’d never grow old.
Just for fun
Maybe distill a ‘lil rum
Maintaining a dance continuum

You’re as old as you feel
And, I am
Unconceal the real deal
Live life while you can

Naked. Swinging from trees.
Begging God we please

We’ve got to… got to get along

Give flight to the might of right
And, it won’t be long
Let’s get strong

ABOUT THIS SONG

Written and recorded on August 1, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Daniel — Guitar, Vocals

The song has to do with my ancestors, King Duncan of Scotland and the Armstrongs. One side of my family is related to King Duncan. He was murdered. The other side of my family cut down trees making it look like the forest was storming the castle in revenge of the murder (as described in Shakespeare’s Macbeth: Act V. Scene III.) The clan was named Armstrong and given a coat-of-arms symbolizing the event.

LYRICS
Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking the all in
The best that you can

Taking the all in
No need of a place to begin
More like a sponge… near infinite points on the fringe

Taking the all in
No need of a place to end
More like a circle or cycle
Your future’s right ’round the bend

Taking the all in
The best that I can
Taking you all in
That best that we can

LYRICS
Outrageous. Gorgeous. But, not dangerous.

No need to be afraid. You can approach.
Reach out. No need to fear you’ll encroach.

Put your ear to the atmosphere
And, hear what you will see
Put your eye to your mind
Hear what is meant by one-of-a-kind

Outrageous. Gorgeous.

LYRICS
Where would we be without the hives and the trees?
Where would we be without the birds and the bees?
What would you do without the innocence of children?
What would you do without the memory of been?

Do you think you’d miss a cool rain’s kiss?
Would you be remiss… speechless?

ABOUT THE SONG
Capo 5

A / D

Written and recorded on July 24, 2012 at Marsh Creek State Park, Chester County, Pennsylvania. For quite sometime, I have been conducting a study on deforestation of the Earth. While writing the song, I noticed the sun shining through the leaves of the tree… like is was winter time; however, it is summer. Then, a couple of small children walked up to me and said, “Thank you guitar man.” What would the world be like without trees? What would the world be like without the innocence of children?

that makes me want to sing
’cause there is something about you

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The uplift of your riff. The glimmer of your I.

’cause there is something about you
that makes me everything
’cause there is something about you
that makes me risk a chance

The sparkle. The Twinkle. The glimmer in your eye
The gift of your lift. The answer to my why.

Sweet Dreams, Honey.

“You too,
may angels abound,
and be your personal surround sound,
while you dream on their chorus of feathered down souls…
Then rise and reclaim your life as the sun shines,
let the shadows be lifted,
and be blessed ever gifted,
it is always the first day,
of the rest of your life
🙂 nite x”

A good night kiss,
Coming true,
Of a wish,
Peeking through,
The veil,
Unsowing seems.

Sweet dreams,
Come alive,
Relieving strife,
Revealing… what is real.
The first day, we pray,
Of the rest of life,
Setting sail,
For New Edan,
We arrive,
To begin.

Once, there were two girls
One on either side
Of understanding

The one to the right
Always in the light
Loves to sing
Brings hope to hearts

The one to the wrong
Hates song
Wallows in shadows
Blackens holes in hearts

What is life worth
What fulfills

For my time on Earth
The thrills
Of the ride
That you provide
Make the future bright

Thank God
For the allowance

Now, is once… going toward the one in the light
