What will yielding yield?
No protection. No Shield.
I will not yield
… will not yield to Satin
In Her Place Of Patton
… can not erase space
Nor, un-time (your) crime
Now, I can not yield
I will not yield
To Evilville
In Evilville
Never yield
Not “until”
Not will
Wont
by Daniel Brouse
A song written and recorded at the corners of Gay Street and Church Street ’round midnight in West Chester, Pennsylvania. A battery operated electric / acoustic classical guitar was plugged into a battery enabled chorus foot peddle (to create stereo) that was plugged into a rechargeable M-Audio Microtrack. The setup is a mini mobile recording studio.

I’d say
It’s not that far away
Long as
I don’t go astray
… not that far away
On our way
Supper’s Ready
Blessed day
Hold n’ steady
It’s not that far away
It’s not that far away
Long as
I don’t go astray
… not that far away

I’ve got some friends
I’d like you to know
So, let’s get up…
Get up and go
These are the kind of people
Though they don’t congregate
Under a steeple
They help the light shine
The light shine
Shine on and on and on
These people I call friends
Most of them are true
Until the end
Though you know
How things can go
A friend can turn
Into foe
Just so you know
Let the light shine
As far as I know
These are the people
That you want to know
The kind-of friend
You want to the bitter end
Let the light shine on and on and on
So, if you’re not too busy
If you’re not feeling over worked
If you won’t be a complete idiot jerk
I’ll show to some good, good friends
You can be a good, good friend
To the bitter, bitter end
It’s the least I can do
Now that I know you
If it seems you’re day isn’t quite fulfilling
How’s this for gelling
These friends can show ya how to be groovin’
When you get together
It’s like heaven
It’s not a lesson in forgiving
It’s more about believing
In one another
Like sister and brother
Like mother or father
Like son or daughter

Voyager through time and space
You’re always in your place
With so far to roam
Yet, you’re always at home
Voyager
So far to roam
You’re always at home
Voyager through time and space
Voyager
You’re in your place
Can you bring your race
Back home
Voyager
You’re in Her place
Can you bring your race
Back home
Voyager through time and space
Bring it on home

LYRICS
How do you know that you’re even alive?
Open your eyes
Reach for the skies
And, do more than just trying to survive
Let’s get together and socially thrive
How do you know that you’re even alive?
If you open eyes and reach the skies
No telling lies
No hypocrite
That’s how we’ll know we’re alive
We can take the life and dive
Go ahead and give it a try
You can learn to fly
Spread your wings
Take in things
Now, you’re alive
LYRICS
No matter what you say
No matter what you do
The truth
Will always be true
No matter what you hope
No matter what you pray
Fiction
Won’t help you cope
A contradiction
To reality
Will never set us free.
ABOUT
This song is about the part of society that are skeptical about the truth. People that think 9-11 was a government conspiracy. People that do not believe humans are impacting climate change.
Gamble To Ramble MP3
Instrumental
About The Song
The song was recorded on the Roland Boss BR-600 using stereo 2-track and the onboard condenser microphones. An ole’ beat up nylon 6-string was the instrument of choice.
The song is also known as The Ambler Rambler as it has evolved during live performances on the streets of Ambler, PA. It turned into Gamble To Ramble. If you have ever had your movement restrained, you will appreciate the meaning.
