What are you talking about?
I can see your lips move
But, I can’t understand
What you demand
Who made you king of the world
What are you talking about?
Have you gone mad
Trying to make people sad
It’s been way too long that you’ve been wrong
I didn’t mean to be the one to point it out
But, there’s only so much you can dish out
What are you talking about?
Written and recorded December 9, 2012 in Chester County, PA. The song is intended to bring people of every religion together. After all, Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in the same God.
And she (virgin Mary) who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her, and We made her and her son a sign for all that exists.
— Chapter Anbiya, verse 91. Holy Koran
And indeed We gave Moses the Scripture, that they may be guided. And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a sign, and We gave them refuge on a high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams. And verily this your religion is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. But they have broken their religion among them into sects.
— Chapter 23 verses 49 50, 52, 53 – Koran
LYRICS
Very thankful you gave us the day
And, I’d be more than happy to do it again
Thankful to make it all this way
And, I’d be more than happy to do it again
An opportunity of a lifetime
A gift of time that I can call mine
Quite thankful for the day and the night
And, I’d be more than happy to do it again
Thankful for the might of your light
And, I’d be more than happy to do it again
An experience of a lifetime
An existence that’s more than fine
LYRICS
Faith in hope
Hope in faith
I have hope in hope
Faith that hope holds true
Within you skin’s underneath
Bare the soul that’s within you
Release the love from within the bloke
Faith that life’s not a joke
Hope that mankind learns to cope
Hoping Faithfully
Shy of pride
Fashion of compassion
String as an oak
Weaving threads into rope
Bringing peace to Earth
Faith in hope
Hope in faith
Spreading smiles and mirth
Hoping to spread the faith

LYRICS
The wind does howl
To the pour of rain’s growl
Poor, poor, poor visibility (Can’t you see, you can’t see?)
Ohhhh… I thought the day I’d never see
Full moon. High tide.
You’ve got no place left to hide
“Cryin’ won’t help you, prayin’ won’t do you no good”
You should’ve run, should’ve run just as fast as you could
Full moon. High tide.
Worst time to make landfall
Full moon. High tide.
It’s a wonder if there’s anything left at all

Shark Swimming in the Streets of Margate, NJ During Hurricane Sandy
The science of a high tide, full moon and landfall of a hurricane —
Higher-than-normal tides — tied to a full moon — have added to Hurricane Sandy’s coastal flooding threat.
As you might expect the explanation is a matter of simple astronomy, not any kind of lunacy associated in folklore with a full moon.
“It’s not the moon’s phase that matters, but the position,” says astronomer Phil Plait on his Bad Astronomy website.
During a full moon, the moon is essentially lined up on the opposite side of the Earth from the sun (this is what allows the near surface of the moon to be illuminated in its full splendor) and the gravitational tug of war between those two intensifies at this time, resulting in higher tides.
This kind of alignment of astronomical objects is called a syzygy (SIH-zhih-jhee) and sailors have understood the effect for centuries. So, for Hurricane Sandy, the higher-than-normal tides that threaten to add to an 11-foot storm surge feared for lower Manhattan are simply a matter of bad timing. — USA Today
Still the weather can spill a chill
Halloween, Thanksgiving… then, it’s Christmas, again
Did you know they’re already talking snow?
Still the whether-or-not slipknot
come clean with thanks… giving beyond Christmas
Bring out cheer more than once a year
Reindeer and mistletoe… comfort, joy and happiness
Did you know they’re already talking snow?

LYRICS
Money
Like flies to honey
It’s the disease bringing people to their knees
It’s the disease bringing people to their knees
I say, “God!” as I fall to my knees, “give me some, please!”
(more money please)
While busker says the word
A gift from a lord
Brings back faith in prosperity
Money
Like flies to honey
It’s the disease bringing people to their knees
It’s the disease crippling people such as these
While the busker plays the chord
A flowerchild pulls her sword,
Blows bubbles… restores faith in humanity
Written and recorded on October 17, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I had been playing the guitar part and just started writing the lyrics when a kind gentleman came over and gave me money. Then, a hippie-chick surprised me with a shower of bubbles. What a day to be thankful.
LYRICS
“Meet the new boss… same as the old boss”
Don’t leave your fate to destiny
Influence the coin toss
Don’t live you life in misery
Go for the gain. Avoid the loss.
Not just for you
But, for those beyond your point-of-view
“Meet the new boss… same as the old boss”
Elevate your fate
And balance the scales
Calming the irate
Putting wind in your sails
Not just for you
But, for those beyond your point-of-view
Written and recorded October 8, 2012 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It starts with a line from The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again as it fit in so well with the title of the album The New Old. Don’t be fooled. You have free will. Please choose your destiny while considering the impact on everyone… even those beyond your point-of-view — “the who”.
LYRICS
When we started to count, we went from 0 to 1
By the way, this was way, way back in the day
Then in the modern day, we found a way
To make music play
Putting bits and bytes to websites
In binary… in fact, back to the very…
0’s and 1’s
Come in from the cold
It’s the new old
Just when you thought out was sold
Come in for some new old
[I can’t get no satisfaction. She’s a daytripper, yeah!]
Can you see
Paper comes from a tree
Moses’ new commandments were carved in some very old stone
Our new condiments were made from mature… more than an instance
Even the telephone, TV and computer come from regurgitated ideas
So, before making a stance…
On creativity…
Before raising fears
Let’s see how much original
Is left in us all
Besides, a zero isn’t much of anything
Let’s try something new… invigorating
Written and recorded on October 7, 2012 in West Chester, PA and is the theme song for the album. It is pretty much a given that we are impacted by the events that have come before us. Instead of trying to avoid it… why not celebrate it?
Written and recorded in Paoli, PA and West Chester, PA on October 6, 2012. I stared thinking about the term BluesFest. It kind-of felt like an oxymoron. Ya, know… “Festival Of Sadness”. So, it’s a tongue-in-cheek song about music moving people. Whatever music moves you, may you be moved. In fact, when it’s all said and done… I hope you are grooved from the experience.
