LYRICS
Ya know I am going out on a limb
I really am
Going out on a limb

Maybe I should disquise this hymn
As a her
I’m not sure

Don’t want any preconceived notion
To #$ck up the communication

Rather not use a ladder at all
Rather be equal… just as tall

LYRICS
“Puff. Puff,” says Cumulus
As Stratus smiles down from on high

Your point-of-view
Can shift, too
To the point where new is knew
Originally, by me
Now, a collaboration as we

“Puff. Puff,” says Cumulus
As Stratus smiles down from on high
We’ve turned to us

“Puff. Puff,” says Cumulus
As Stratus smiles down from on high
Just a wisp in the sky
Traveling by

Never stalls the astral
Bringing love to all

LYRICS
I won’t tell you no more
At any rate, you’re probably right
It’s too late
I won’t tell you
No more

It’s temperate
Inhospitable
Environment

So, of all these things you abhor
I won’t tell you
No more

For self-wealth
Memory it yourself

I ain’t your Mama
Don’t need the drama
I won’t tell you
No more

LYRICS
We can fight, kick and scream
We can destroy… try n’ shatter the dream
Or…
We can have cake and ice cream?

I’d rather do that
Peace, love and understanding
Is where it’s at
I’d rather do that

We can siphon off the cream
Pollute every stream
Turn it all brown from green
Rob every child from being a teen
Or…
We can take a ride on a moonbeam

Dance and sing
Create a beautiful thing
Movement and color
A delightful scene

You can bet I’d rather do that
’till the day I die
I’d rather do that

ABOUT THIS SONG
I made a deal with my co-author (God) that I would not sell out. So, I try not to. However, when it comes to songs that talk about hate or anger, it is tough. I’d prefer not to do these songs… because love is easier. Nevertheless, here it is — what someone’s hate toward us sounds like. Then, as the song progresses, the co-author and I make a suggestion to the hate-monger

instead of them just wearing a black hat, we ask them to crawl back and fade all the way to black. That way no one has to see how ugly. Hate, go away.

[i.e. A song about a hometown near you.]

LYRICS
Yow! Spreading hate like a #%Ckin’ disease
You’ve got the mange, and you’re sporting fleas
Maggots, a leech… maybe some sort-of worm
Has eaten the heart right out of your heart
Now a shadowy, pitiful *lurking in the dark*
Creatures of slime eaten your warm
Fuzzy turned to slurm, harm, germ
[Spreading hate like a #%Ckin’ disease]

Won’t you fade to black
You’re already better than half way (there)
No… no, no, please do not delay
Crawl back
Fade to black

1. Wowwwww… the wind blew hard
When I started thinking of you
Though, there your are
Only yards away

2. The chill you sent up my spine
Must not have been you at all
As it was divine
And, you know my position on the divinity of humanity

[Repeat 1 and add:]
Just yards away
Backyards. Frontyards.
Sidewards sideyards
Just yards away

But ya know the feeling,
Will I ever be close to you?

ABOUT THIS SONG
Sometimes you think you want to be close to someone, but then you think, “Do I really want that person to be close to me?” Then, I think to myself… perhaps it is best to start by being close to God. Then, you don’t have to worry about the other person’s imperfections getting on your nerves? 🙂

“I am a stranger”
Stranger, I am
Stranger than you
An Alien?

“I come in peace”
A piece I am
More than a pwan
Are you?

“Take me to your leader and there will be a massive reward for you in eternity.”

This note in my pocket
Is to notify you
There is no intelligent life on Earth —
the third planet from the sun.

We’ll guarantee your eternity
While mine is in jeopardy

ABOUT THIS SONG
The song was written on February 20, 2012 — the anniversary of the John Glenn’s space flight of 1962.

“I am a stranger. I come in peace. Take me to your leader and there will be a massive reward for you in eternity.”
— Note carried by John Glenn (the first man to orbit Earth. It was translated into several languages in case he splashed down in the remote South Pacific seas.

Hey!

Will you help us today?
Will you lead the way…
Show us how to plaaaaaay.
How to play a show…
The spirit in music you know.

Dave Grohl sighters

DAVE GROHL’S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
Accepting the award, Grohl said, “To me, this award means a lot because it shows the human element of music is what’s important. Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do…It’s not about being perfect, it’s not about sounding absolutely correct, it’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here [your heart] and what goes on in here [your head].”

Later, Dave went on to say, “To me the biggest advantage of going analog is the restrictions that it implies, which gets you to perform in a way that you’re actually being a human being. We thought about heart and performance. And I would rather people not tune their vocals, I would rather people not grid their drums.”

saturated,
human waste

corrugated,
perforated,
saturated,
with a bad after-taste

rinse it clean,
rinse it clear,
wring the fear,

Are we living,
Living in a place,
Where humans,
Aren’t humane,
Where the beings,
Aren’t being,
Very sane?

Oh, no,
A hobo,
Hobo jungle,
My fellow man,
Is more savage,
Than human.

Oh, no,
Hobo,
Woah,
Hobo,
Jungle,
Hobo jungle

The city isn’t savage,
It’s our age,
All over the land,
Can’t understand,
Why the rednecks,
Wreak havoc,
Bully the brains.

Why the fast paced,
Ran, run, raced,
Trampled my face….

Can’t we be the kind,
That can be kind,
No need to remind,
To mind….

Mind my business,
Build a fortress,
Rain distress,
Reign distress,
No, not my mess.

No, I won’t go,
So, far….
As to call it,
A hobo jungle…
More of a bungled,
Humanity.

Are we the animals,
Damning all,
To a hobo jungle,
Just a little respect,
Will fetch,
A civil twilight,
As our day,
Fades to night.

Just a little appreciation,
For the federation,
Of humankind,
Leaving the least,
In the lead,
And, the first,
Behind.

I thought I would show you what I was talking about,
So, here it is kid….

You don’t want it all,
But, you don’t want it all,
To pass you by,
bye-bye.

Music is not about telling everyone else how you feel.
Music is about helping everyone else feel the way you feel.

Have you no sense of intimacy?

Music is about helping everyone feel what you are saying.

Do you remember when,
You asked me why all the Crayon’s,
In the Crayon box,
Looked the same as you?

After all,
Camouflage is a weird concept in space.

After all,
I’m just a person trying to express myself.
Why would you want to step on that?

Do you ever look outside of your self?
Do you ever look outside yourself?

It’s not that I’m the sickest puppy,
In the litter.

How do I know?
I looked in your blindspot.

What happens when you wait,
Until someone can’t wait,
To go to the bathroom?

Shit happens.

What if there was so much noise,
That nobody could hear my song?

Sometimes noise is a good camouflage.
Sometimes it is not.

I’m not that interested in how you fit into the game…
Rather, that you are a game piece.

Where do all those anarchists go?
That bookstore on South Street?

Oh, yes,
The Wooden Shoe.

Can you tell a Fox,
He swells like his own hole?

Ask Rupert Murdoch.

Have you no sense,
Of intimacy?

It’s funny,
When you try to stop,
A laughing-box from laughing.

Kleenex,
Or, tissue,
Who cares?
Will God bless you?

Doy you,
Yourself,
Know a genius,
When you look one,
In the I?

There are only so many people,
That hold a guitar…
Or, magnifying glass.

Chasing the string of a balloon.

There aren’t that many fish,
That can swim in the sea.
Shall I throw you back?

Yo, Fido!

The animals are running the zoo
There’s nothing much
You can do
They’ve broken free
Of all restraint
Now, there ain’t…
A tame point-of-view

Mic check [echo]
Tell your Ma
Tell your Pa
The sheep say baa

Chorus

Mic check [echo]
Tell your brother
Tell your sister
The mounted monkey will twist her

Chorus

Mic check [echo]
Tell your teacher
Tell your preacher
A sounder of swine
Are taking away your liberty…
And mine

A litter of pigs litter the streets
With a pack of mule mentality
