LYRICS
Have you ever wondered
If there’s anyone who cares
No need to ponder
That’s why I’m making you aware
Thanks for making me aware that you’re there
For now, the time on Earth we share
You don’t need to feel alone
We occupy the same home
As well as, the closest star
Just reach out… I’m there
Written and recorded in Ocean City, New Jersey on July 6, 2012. It is about the feeling you get when you play music for people… especially when you do it for free… just because you care. It is amazing how many people befriend you when make music for them.
ABOUT THIS SONG
Capo 4 (Ab)
Hold the D string on 6th fret
Written and recorded on June 14, 2012 after watching my daughter have a bad dream on vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey. The lyrics and recordings were conjured up in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
LYRICS
Why go to where the gray turns black
A place where there is no turning back
Move it on up ’cause the tide’s coming in
A whole new cycle getting ready to begin
The pages blowing in the wind
No time for Man to unwind
Rather make a pact to adapt
Wind-up. Then, we’re apt
To buoy a beginning
Of a brand new happening
Where the hydrogen and oxygen separate
The sea meets the sky
Where the clouds part you can start
To see the light
And, you just might
Put up a fight
For it’s the struggle to survive
That keeps us alive
The lyrics were written on June 13, 2012 while sitting on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. The music was written and recorded at the Lower Merion Township Park near King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
LYRICS
Where the sky parts from the see
The ocean waves goodbye
There’s a sigh in the air
A sigh in the error
Why not choose what’s best for humanity
Instead of just for you or me
Overthrow the overlords
Of disparity
With the vision of the Viking
No one is best suited to be king
With the vision of Charlemagne
Try to alleviate suffering and pain
No need to cross an expansive sea
To contemplate the fate of society
No need for flight from the storm
No need for blight, nor for harm
Lyrics to the Song Correction
The ability to sense when fear is near
Allowing you to steer clear of danger
The ability to sense when fair is near
Allowing you to see clearer and stronger
Writing the lyrics began on June 13, 2012 in Ocean City, New Jersey. The music was written in Ambler on June 14. The recordings were made later that day at the Lower Merion Township Park.
LYRICS
There’s no sense complaining (no sense complaining)
About the shape I’m in (the shape I’m in)
As long as, I am bone and skin
It takes no explaining
There’s no denying dieing
Might as well take it all in
See the sea
Hear the here
Be the me
Without fear
There’s no sense complaining (no sense complaining)
About the shape I’m in (the shape I’m in)
As long as, I am bone and skin
It takes no explaining
There’s no denying dieing
Might as well take it all in
Scent of sea breeze
Touch a memory
Forecast a dream
Spirit team

About the shape I’m in (the shape I’m in)
As long as, I am bone and skin
It takes no explaining
There’s no denying dieing
Might as well take it all in
Take a bite
Out of the de-bitch sand which
Will cure your spite
Despite of
Take a bite out of the de=bitch sand which
Stuffed with love
It has been quite some time since I’ve posted about the Tunesmith Adventures. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been thoroughly enjoying the audiences. I have been. Though I would like to film more of the adventures, live subjects can be tricky.
Anyway, the audiences have been great. One of my favorite times was in the Spring of 2011. I was sitting at the corner of Ridge and Butler in Ambler, Pennsylvania. A school bus with tinted windows stopped at the light in front of me. I thought the bus was empty and just kept playing my heart away. All of a sudden, a bunch of the windows opened and all these kids started screaming and clapping. Wow! What a thrill.
Nick Does a Flip While I Play Jigging Music
Speaking of thrills, there seems to be an outbreak of people inspired to do *human tricks* whenever I start playing my jigging music. The Spring of 2012 has brought many a thrill seeker. Several interesting characters have co-operated in West Chester, Pennsylvania to bring great entertainment to the people. There is a guy that likes to do bike tricks over my head… and another fellow, Nick, who likes to do flips and jumps off the adjacent wall… sometimes it will just be a group of children ranging in ages from 2 to 92 that breakout into a spontaneous dance troupe. You all are more fun than Vaudeville, a sideshow, and a 3-ring circus all rolled into one.
I thank each and every one of you. From those who come up because they feel compelled to offer me money, to those who roll down their windows shouting out with a wave and a smile — THANK YOU!
Daniel Brouse writes music on the beach of the Atlantic City Shore
How long have the waves
Pounded the sand
How long has man
Pounding the sands of time
Without reason
And, little rhyme
Pounded the sands of time
As the tide is wide
The Times subside
Pounded by human
This song is based on Hurricane Irene. I was suppose to play a Bob Marley festival… but, it was canceled due to Atlantic City being under a mandatory evacuation. When I explained my situation to a fan, he said, “Irene’s a bitch.”
Hurricane Irene
Capo 4
F#
Ole Lady leery
Left her lantern in the shed
When the how kicked it over
She winked her I and said,
“If ya know what i mean
My names Irene
Gonna be gnarly
Sorry, no Marely.”
So, we played all night
Into the day
Play, play, play
We played into the rain
The spirit will remain
A tidal surge
Irie sea
Love splurge
See irie
