LYRICS
So, you want to go wailing
Why would you want to do a thing like that?

The buffoon pulls out his harpoon
Shooting himself in the foot
Commence the wailing

You piss in your sink and then stop to think
“Wonder why I have disease?”
You foul your fowl because you’re chicken to change
Then stop to think, “Wonder why I have food poisoning?”

Am I thick
We’re why I’m sick

LYRICS
I was…
Naked. Tied-up.
Bound and gagged
In the back of your mother’s station wagon
Hang-on
Lights are flashing
The spot light is on
Officer says, “What’s going on?”

Now, you’ve changed
How you’ve changed
Your mind rearranged
(You’re) estranged

Oh, no
She went psycho
Joined the Puritan Police
Now, I need a release

Oh, let my daughter go
’cause you know
You went psycho

You use to be some fun
But, now
People run!

You ain’t no superhero
With that super, super ego
No. No. No.

Janet, try your switch
’cause less is on

LYRICS
Though optimum would be ideal
That “I am” has enough appeal
Since for the wicked there is no rest
Pray, say and sway toward the best

Optimism — me
You
Look through the clouds
And, the sky is blue

And, the sky above is blue
Let the light shine through
Past the silver lining
It’s all in the timing

Optimismme
See the light shine though
Beautiful view

LYRICS
Are you afraid to open your door
See people hurting like never before
Are you afraid to answer the phone
Hear the moan become a constant drone

Are you afraid to show your face
Tired of being made a public disgrace
Are you afraid to communicate
The wrong way on a one-way
Bombarded with hate, hate, thate

Then, please don’t hesitate
To call on God. Let Her mediate.

The place is here. The time is now.
Believe She’ll hear… She does somehow

God’s good grace. The mercy upon you.
Redeem your scene to heavenly… see!

Why not fear not?

Writing Music During a Heat Wave

LYRICS
chorus:
I’m melting, melting, melting
Literally, melting
My skin is smoldering
My eyes are dry
I’m melting

how much can a human endure
We’re about to find out
(That’s for sure)

If your lips aren’t too dry
Can you shout it out?
(Come on. Give it a try)

Human induced climate change
An experiment
in our ability
(in our “are” ability)
To re-arrange

Restore
The natural order

Neutral nature
The Balancing Queen
Neutral nature
Is never mean

If you were seeing
What the pollution is doing
You’d quit that habit

If you were aware
Of what’s in your air
You’d stop breathing

Lance the invincible
Tackle the impossible

LYRICS
The mother of nature
The father of time
Eventually
Nothing is “mine”

Rest assured
It’s the nature of Mother Nature
Guaranteed with certainty
As in – For Sure!
No need to be insured
It’s your life
For as long as it can be endured

Don’t let the Grim Reaper
Cut you like a knife
Don’t be Snow White sleeper
Make spontaneity your wife

Dance through your days
Dance all your nights
Smile all the which ways
Smiles bring delights

LYRICS
Where the sky parts from the see
The ocean waves goodbye
There’s a sigh in the air
A sigh in the error

Why not choose what’s best for humanity
Instead of just for you or me
Overthrow the overlords
Of disparity

With the vision of the Viking
No one is best suited to be king
With the vision of Charlemagne
Try to alleviate suffering and pain

No need to cross an expansive sea
To contemplate the fate of society
No need for flight from the storm
No need for blight, nor for harm

LYRICS
Though an optimist
I must admit
Some situations on Earth
Are bleak
We forgot to care
For the meek
Now, the social justification
That I did fear
Is much closer
Than just near

Radiate.
Be intimate
Transfer
With Her
Mother of the Earth

Give birth
Bring forth

Bring it down from on above
Radiate
Be intimate

LYRICS
Rape, pilfer and plunder
What a tragedy
Is it any wonder
There’s only yesterday
As far as the eye (I) can see

Yes, it’s time to move on
I do believe you’re beatin’
That dead horse to death
Yes, it’s time to move on
I do believe you’ve eatin’
To the entrails through the flesh

Scrape, litter and squander
What a tragedy
Is it any wonder
No more tomorrow
For you or me

I wish we were apt to adapt
Waste our waste
Trash our trash
Smash our thrash

If you go indifferent
You’ll come out different
When time turns real
Don’t forget how to feel

You’re running the rat race
Getting fat for the cat
Gonna bury your soul with that hunk of meat?

You seem to forget
An eternity of regret
Seize the moment
Less the moment seizure you

LYRICS
Sometimes the littlest thing
Is not a trivial thing
The way a bird can sing
And, wake you in the morning

The way the atmosphere can make the sky appear

The way the smile in your eye
Lifts my heart… I can fly!

I dreamed I flew to you
The next scene… explicit… too

bookmark_borderAudience Appreciation Index

It has been quite some time since I’ve posted about the Tunesmith Adventures. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been thoroughly enjoying the audiences. I have been. Though I would like to film more of the adventures, live subjects can be tricky.

Anyway, the audiences have been great. One of my favorite times was in the Spring of 2011. I was sitting at the corner of Ridge and Butler in Ambler, Pennsylvania. A school bus with tinted windows stopped at the light in front of me. I thought the bus was empty and just kept playing my heart away. All of a sudden, a bunch of the windows opened and all these kids started screaming and clapping. Wow! What a thrill.

Nick Does a Flip While I Play Jigging Music
Nick Does a Flip While I Play Jigging Music

Speaking of thrills, there seems to be an outbreak of people inspired to do *human tricks* whenever I start playing my jigging music. The Spring of 2012 has brought many a thrill seeker. Several interesting characters have co-operated in West Chester, Pennsylvania to bring great entertainment to the people. There is a guy that likes to do bike tricks over my head… and another fellow, Nick, who likes to do flips and jumps off the adjacent wall… sometimes it will just be a group of children ranging in ages from 2 to 92 that breakout into a spontaneous dance troupe. You all are more fun than Vaudeville, a sideshow, and a 3-ring circus all rolled into one.

I thank each and every one of you. From those who come up because they feel compelled to offer me money, to those who roll down their windows shouting out with a wave and a smile — THANK YOU!

Sincerely,
Daniel Brouse

Fourth Base .mp3 (free music download)

Though never a big league ball player, I do enjoy playing the All-American-Past-Time from time-to-time. The one thing that does come to mind is when a youngster is on base… and a bigger fellow hits a home run. You can yell, “Run to first.” You can yell, “Run to second.” You can yell, “Run to third.” However, if you yell, “Run home” you run the risk that the lad will do just that. Thus, the name of the song *Fourth Base*

ADDITIONAL LYRICS
You Might find it funny
But, you’re already home

There ya go strutting down the street
Always in search of your comfort zone
You don’t need to beat an easy feat
You’re never alone if you’re always at home
It’s within your reach… you don’t need to roam
You may find it funny, but you’re already home

No need to reach
No need to roam
Self teach
No moan

You might find it funny, but you’re already home

ABOUT THE SONG
Daniel — vocals, guitar
The song was written and recorded in Ambler and West Chester, Pennsylvania on an 8-track digital recorder. 1 track was used for guitar. 2 tracks were used for a stereo vocal track. 3 tracks were used for individual backing vocals. 2 tracks were used to create a stereo master mix.

The inspiration for the guitar lick and the lyrics came from the vibe of the people passing by.
